i started it up this morning and it ran fine, took the kid to school.
got out and went inside, came back and started again. this time it wants to die shortly after. if i gave it gas it keeps running, but if i let off it would die.

tried it again
starts, and runs as long as your pressing the gas.
if you let off it dies.

this is my only vehicle to get the family around. so any help is appreciated.

Welcome, first thing I would do is look and see if any vacuum lines or caps blew off and are disconnected.

I would also try cleaning out your throttle body. If it hasn't been cleaned yet, 150,000 miles can leave some nice gunk.

^ Ditto IAC. Carb cleaner is more effective than electrical contact cleaner if it's really dirty with carbon and varnish.

update: took off the iac valve and had it looked at. still functional.
took off the belt and checked all pullys.

misc. info: has the dreaded lifter noise, ac clutch is out but pully still spins.

as for cleanning the throttle body and check vaccume lines, i will do that now, ill keep ya updated, thanks for the help all.

just checked the vacuum lines and throttle body, nothing wrong.
any other ideas?

Scan it even though the CEL is off. Could have pending codes,
