Don't waste your money on that $200+ you can find the same thing on ebay for less then half that with shipping. I bought a set 2 years ago off ebay and have not had one issue with them. A buddy of mine bought a set not too long ago for $75 bucks shipped to his door (in Canada) and has had no issues as of yet with them. Most...if not ALL HID kits are plug and play...I know the ones with the high and low beams might be a bit different but very very easy to install in about an hour or less.

anything about those black diamonds?

I'm still new to the Sport trac and to be honest I have never heard of them before....but I have seen people "bake" the stock headlights and paint the inside black. Or I have seen the headlights "night shaded" like the tail lights. I think you can buy them on ebay now too.

no one has heard of black headlight lenses?
dern

well i have heard i need a new lense to cut down on glare with HIDS

Look on Ebay or just Google them.
Or, there is a "search" feature on this site.

ive googled em but all i get is some head flashlight or something..

I didn't get new headlights when I put in my HIDs...didn't see to much of a glare when I was standing about50 meters away....

i love you thanks man

IMO an 8000K kit W/black lenses will give you less light then the OEM setup you now have on your X.

would a different Light temp be better?

4300k or 5000k will give the you the most light output, but either way the black housings will kill your output regardless.

I have 6000K and personally I think they're too blue.. Search for Xentec on eBay, it's a decent brand with a good warranty, I think I paid $95 shipped and got them in 4 days.

Just purchased a 4300k dual beam for mine a second ago. I previously had 5000k on mine which I considered to be nearly too blue. They certainly did work wonders. I would search for a good dual beam kit. I ordered mine from www.rsi-hid.com
