My '92 EB has 104K. Work done so far:
-Trans rebuilt at 68K (good thing I bought that extended warranty for $900)
-Repaired rust at rear wheel well below door
-Replaced intake gaskets
-oil and filter change every 3K
-A few brake jobs
-couple sets of tires
-Replaced ball joints on passenger side
-Radius arm bushings

Modifications
-Dyno max cat back exhaust system
-KKM air cleaner
-KYB shocks
-Addco sway bars (a absolute must have!!)
-Perfomance products valance (looks nice but built like sh#t!)

Future Plans:
-Borla headers
-New radiator (Being held together with stop leak)
-water pump
-Replace head gaskets (Head is leaking, hoping it is not a cracked head)
(Should be doing all this next weekend if my parts come in from carparts.com)
-need to work on rear springs to make the vehicle handle better. Any ideas??

Over all I would say that my Explorer has been the best vehicle I have ever owned. Most all repairs have been minor. (knock on wood) Luckily I did not have to pay for the trans repair. This is the only weak link in the Explorer. My mother likes it enough that she wants to buy a new 2000 or 2001 Explorer for herself.

There, I should be post #61

Ok, this is based on two explorers, mine and my fathers.

My Explorer - 1991 5sp 4x4, 99,700 (almost there, got to get a picture of it at 00000

Normal wear (as in NOT because of my driving or upgrades)
RA bushings
99% sure trans was rebuilt (bought explorer used)
Alternator (Bearings were shot)
New Paint (This sumer, paint is leaving the hood)
New tires
Minor interior things
brakes
muffler

My fathers - 1991 EB 4 door auto 4x4 180,000

Rebuilt trans at 140,000
Rear axle seals
power steering pump
RA bushings (this summer will be 2nd time)
brakes at regular intervals
2 or 3 mufflers, 2 or 3 tailpipes (resonator rusts)
shocks
minor electrical things
thermostat
Radio died

Overall, I love mine and I do all work myself, so it costs very little. The only time anyone else ever worked on it after I owned it was when the tires were replaced (my balancer wasn't working right). I would never trade it, and my father is currently eyeing a 94 with low mileage he found. Very reliable vehicles overall.

Looks like Scott Bauer and I have the 200,000's all tied up.

Mine is a '92 XLT 4x4: just passed 216,000 miles today. Purchased in '94 with 97,000 on it.

Major work:
-Fall '99: Transmission replacement (o/d quick working about 100,000 miles ago, but pulling boats about 1,500 miles a week made ended up tearing some teeth out of it)
-Also, I've replaced the front rotors twice, and been through several (12+ sets of pads) in the past 5 years.
-CD Player quit working. (fixed)
-Rear subwoofer popped. (fixed)
-Windshield cracked for no reason. (fixed)
-Driver side door needs new hinges. (needs)
-ABS and Brake light stays on. (faulty RABS Sensor) (needs...$330.00 though)
-Several sets of front wheel bearings (6+). (fixed)
-Drive shaft U-Joints (twice). (fixed)
-Arm rest broken. (needs fixed)
-Radiator. (fixed)
-Windshield washer pump. (needs fixed)
-Clunking noise in pass. front suspension. (no one can figure it out yet though)
-Shocks. (fixed of course)
-Strange noise when in 4wd. (haven't figured it out either)

Overall, I love the truck. Its had several problems and the braking system absolutely sucks, but I'm gonna keep it forever...probably upgrade the engine this summer (with a 302), along with the entire brake system, a 2.5" lift, new wheels and tires, performance sway bars, replace my JET chip with a Superchip, and a few other things. see my explorer on the web at http://members.xoom.com/bombtech022/mydirtyexplorer.jpg
