Guess I'm getting a late start on this message, but what the hell. I'll feel better.
1992 EB Explorer, 173,000 miles, original engine.
~Replaced:
Front brake calipers
Front brake rotors
Front brake pads (about a thousand times)
Engine fan
Radiator hoses
hmmmm....
Thermostat
Fan belt (twice)
Water Pump (not mechanical failure, some kinda animal got into the engine compartment, long story)
Radius Arm bushings
Universal Joints (all)
Center console bracket
Valve cover gaskets (leaking like crazy)
Rear windshield wiper arm (old one fell off)
Rear liftgate gas-struts
Taillight (does that count? I busted it)
Tires, shocks, plugs, wires, and other stuff that doesn't count
~Other stuff that was fixed:
Auto trans (clunky shifting: leaking seals somewhere)
Transfer case (I think I fixed it? the no-4WD problem)
Rear brake cylinder (blew out, no brakes)
Air conditioner (you name it, it's been replaced)
I'm sure there's a lot more, but that's all I can remember right now. Whew, now I have all that off my chest.
