I dont want the truck to look ricey but i do like the bluish tinted lights. I know you can get the ones at autozone or advanced but are there good ones that you can see good with them but have the blue tint to them? Thanks for any advice you can give.

Euro Dezigns i have green ones in my truck and blue ones in my bros jetta they look nice and carry a life time warranty if they ever burn out or anything u can find them on ebay for 12.99 where i orderd mine came to 21$ and change after shipping and stuff

walmart, kmart and just about every auto store caries a blue light just get the 9007's (unless your model doesn't match my '96)

Any tint lowers the light output. Get some Sylvania Superwhites or PIAA Superwhites, brightest DOT halogens out there.

You can always go HID, that'll get you a tad more light.

Agree'd, the "blue" tint put off by these isnt even really blue as far as i know, its becuase the light is so intense and Bright..... I jsut find these Wanna be HID lights that are regualr lights with blue tint, stupid....

Im not really looking for the blue color.... i guess its more the HID look. Im considering the Sylvania Silverlights or whatever they are called. Ive been reading a lot about them and they are pretty good according to a lot of users.

Avoid the ebay "blue light specials" like the plaque and go with the Sylvanias. Did the cheap Chinese ebay bulbs on 2 different vehicles, from different sellers, at different times. Same results...burnt out in about 3 months. They do produce a white light that reallys helps.

I hate "blue" "green" & other colored lights. They are the main reason real aftermarket HID kits are now illegal. These "bulbs" create alot of glare to on coming traffic & blind you. People complained because they are dumb & think those are HID lights which they are not. Now real HID light kits are banned. You will not see any better with colored bulbs. You will see less.

I have real HID on my Acura & have these on my X

The Xtream White Plus.9007

You can get a pair of Silverstars on Ebay. I just bought a pair of 9003 for my Acura for $26 including shipping. That's almost $15 cheaper than what the stores here sell them for.

I had Silverstars on my X, and loved them. Until they buirned out a couple of months later. Great light, but my factory lights are still working 2 years later, not 2 months. Granted, I have the unfortunate curse of daytime running lights, but regardless, as nice as the lights are, they just won't last as long as you hope.

They lasted me 2 years until I swapped HID, probably still work now.

i have the sylvanias , and euro dezigns green bulbs the slyvanias are alot brighter but melt my sockets and blew both high beams at the same time (dont think it was a bulb issue tho) think my car had a power surge or something odd cause they both went at the same time and i didnt have them on lol but the euro dezigns lasted me 4months before one of the high beams went(again dont think it was a bulb issue) but with there life time warranty im getting new ones for the cost of shipping and handeling so its all good

that was utterly stupid.... If I wanted to see stupid comments like that I'd go to another forum....

back on topic-
I like both the sylvania's and the eurodezigns, but the silverstars won my vote and are in my truck now....

I have the Sylvania in my explore and stang. I love them and they are a nice bright white that work great. Had them for about a year now and no problems. One thing I heard, to prevent them from burning out is not to touch the actual blub (the glass) with your fingers. The oils on your hands, leaves fingerprints and causes them to heat up more than usual or so I heard.

Get the Sylvania's and you won't be disappointed.

Later....

you are correct about not touching the glass cause the oil from your skin get on it then heats up causing the glass to shatter and blow out prematurely
this is not the problem i am having the glass is fine just the filament for the high beam inside the glass keeps blowing

i've got sylvania's on my monte , i have pics of them both at night if you want to compare brightness/whiteness between stock and the silverstar's i can post a pic for ya

these are my silverstars
