How to make the idle higher?

How can i make the idle a little higher on my 1992 Ford explorer to keep it from stalling all of the time? What will happen if i simply turn the idle adjustment screw, a boobytrap?

Clean your iac valve. When cleaning, you'll want to grab the shaft inside to make it move back and forth. The reason your idle is dropping is because that inside slider is sticking. Don't use brake cleaner, use carb cleaner

If that does not work
Do you have a check engine light? M
If there are trouble codes they should be fixed first
When was the last time it idled properly?
What happened to make I start stalling out? (Any recent work)

Adjusting the base idle screw will absolutely increase your idle
But it should never need to be messed with so it’s best to fix the underlying issues first
