I voted black out....

If you have nice tires with the brand showing its like advertising.... For some idiot to steal them....

At least if they are blacked then you wont see "EXPENSIVE TIRE HERE" from a mile away....

Just a thought!

If that's your reasoning for running them white-in, you need a set of wheel locks and then you can run 'em whatever way you want.

I've always run them white-out. If they get dirty, they get dirty... makes no difference to me.

I vote black out, I like the monochromatic scheme:

Patrick, for what I've heard if your balancing weights are that big, the tire needs to be rotated in the rim, right now the tire and the rim's heavy side are on the same spot, so turning the wheel around might help

hey, yes i actually did do that on a few of them, ( break the bead, spin tire on rim 180*) and it worked, but the one on plain sight in the photo was the last one i did of the day, and my buddies were like c'mon man! lets get em done! i wanna see em on there! so i was like screw it! :D and hammered a crap load of weights on haha. but yea ill take a pic tom of what it looks like with them painted gloss black, -you have to be looking for them to notice ;) oh and btw, those tires in that pic ^ look really underinflated...

i can also tell you that wheel locks, are effective to a point. if i want your tires I CAN GET THEM. haha a well sized socket, hammer, ratchet, and a little balls, and ill have your wheel locks off in 3 min :D ;)

True, but if somebody really wants your tires, is it going to make a difference whether or not they can see the white lettering??

tbars4,
Those are some sick pics! Where were you in those shots? Did the paint survive that trip?

...Sorry, I just caught your edit...Those pics were taken at Truckhaven by Ocotillo Wells...One pic was on the way up the hill and the other was on the way down...

...No paint was damaged in the process...

On any alloys, I get only weights on the back side of the wheel. I hate the corrosion from the weights on the front side.

I definately was not going to put front side weights on the Enkeis RPF1's on my Paseo...

Sweet! Thought for sure you scraped the sides!

I am looking for hidden out of the way places in my neck of the woods. Northern Arkansas has some small mountains/hills to navigate, and Oklahoma has some spots, but nothing like you guys on the west coast have! I am from Chicago originally, and some of these places just plain give me the willies! (Deliverance!)

...:shifty_ey ...I used to know those areas pretty well...Cut my teeth in the woods and my folks followed route 66 to Cali when I was a kid...

...You can check with MountaineerGreen as he is in Ark...;)

Thanks for the 411! Roger that, over!:salute:

Don't laugh at me I really tought 26 was right, it said so on the door!!! hahahaha stupid costco and their warranty, I didn't leave them like that for too long

You are right smack in the middle between Mountaineergreen and I-

there is a place in Kansas, Kansas rocks park-
it's about 2.5 hours from you, and 45 minutes from me.

I didn't realize you were from Springfield until just now. I think if I could pack up and settle down somewhere else, Springfield would be near, if not at the top of, my list of desired destinations.

Overland Park here. Never heard of that place but we frequent Tuttle Creek and last weekend was spent on the dirtbikes out at Milford Lake ORV park.

(oh yeah, Definately black out on the wheels. Unless you drive a white or silver truck. )

White out always!!! I think it looks killer.

Voted white lettering out.

I voted black out. My Nittos don't have white on either side. Just solid letters vs serrated letters.

i like the look of white letters out....but if its a rig deff black like the guys said they just get so dirty the'll be black anyway soon enough.
