Here is one on a bronco II over at the ranger station. It might help ya out....Bronco II chop

Also FireZapper chopped his top.... a picture can be found Here

those are great guys thanks! still not the one i am looking for but just as good. and ive seen firezappers truck in a magazine before...like in the readers rides section. im thinking of chopping it off right behind the rear vent windows and having my buddy make me a canvas top for the rear. ill edit up some pictures tonight after work and show you what im thinking.

i just did a removable hard top conversion that came out great, but i dont know how to post pics on here.. anybody wanna help with that?

to start, if you peel back the interior roof liner, youll see that right around the interior light theres a main brace going up the pillars that support the front seatbelts. i made a cut perfectly even with that back of that to keep as much strength as possible.
as for the back, cut dead even 1" bellow the rear windows. that should leave you with exactly 2" if space between the outter quarter panel skin and the interior skin to fill. get a piece of 1"x2"x1" 16 or 18 gauge skin made up by a local shop and that should fit up tight to the outter skin making it easy to get a seamless weld on both sides to strengthen up the sides. then just cap it with the same material all the way around.
if you like message me and ill post a write up on my entire project along with pictures and ill detail as much as i can about what mistakes i made...
