And another...driver walked away from this one too. His girlfriend in the passenger's seat broke her back in 4 places, but is doing ok now. She had to have eight screws and two rods in her back..ouch..
It was a supercharged Mach...He hydroplaned @ 60 mph and found a grove of trees...

The Mustang usually does a good job of protecting it's occupants in a crash. I wonder how she ended up with a busted back? Any clue if the seat back gave way? Or maybe she wasn't wearing a seatbelt?

Sheesh.. Thats not smart at all.. Being behind the wheel of one on a test drive, I can't understand why someone wouldn't put on a seatbelt for their safety. Hell even being passenger in JDraper's mach forced me to wear my belt and if possible duct tape to the seat to prevent me from being part of the seat.

I took a friend of mine who is a Fed Ex pilot for a ride in the Mach. His grin was ear to ear and he said the ride was better than a takeoff in his jet

I thought they had more power than that![]()
They do..they're underrated

More impressive than the peak #'s are how it puts the power down. Very broad powerband. 2nd and 3rd gear are really a rush...almost full power from just over 2500 rpm to 7000 rpm.

They do..they're underrated. Mine with minor tweaks is at 302hp at the rear wheels, which converts to about 365 hp at the crank.

That was from deceleration. The Mach has one heckuva set of brakes for a factory setup..They swiped the Cobra braking system with hydroboost. Plenty of whoa power.

Ok, that makes more sense.. because I thought they had more power than stated above.
I have an S4 with chip/exhaust I am looking at 315-320hp(crank) and 395-400ftlb. And powerband is around 2100 rpm to 6600 rpm. Its a real neck jerker
