I have a Droid Bionic with Verizon and texting still does not work after the latest update. I've had it work once or twice in the 4 months I've had the Explorer. I have confirmed this phone works for people that own a Focus and Fusion, yet it won't work in an Explorer that cost almost twice as much as those vehicles. If anyone has any advice to get this working feel free to share.

Still no applink! A freakin Ford Focus has applink!

I play USB audio a lot and would like to see them add a fast forward function. Even the cheapest audio players have this function.

Why did they separate the AM and FM into separate buttons? Now I have to scroll down to get to Blue tooth audio :/

Overall its definitely faster, and the voice recognition seems to be much improved. However, give us the features that are working in the Focus!

Sorry just ranting my big letdown of fixes I expected in the new update.

First, you may or may not have noticed this, but on some phones when you pair your phone with MFT it will ask you (on the notification bar or some other area) whether or not you want to grant messaging access (MAP) to MFT.

Second, What OS version are running on the phone? Apparently you can upgrade to the new Android OS. Perhaps that will help. (http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/U...and-Services/Mobile-Phones/DROID-BIONIC-US-EN)

Finally, I have a Droid X and it works great with the new version, but with version 2.11 it wouldn't work no matter what I did. After 6 months of trying I gave up. Then a couple months later it just started working! No real reason, it just started working.

I have a feeling that it has something to do with the way Motorola implements the MAP bluetooth protocol and something to do with the with the way MFT does.

Correction: Bionic- No ICS Update Yet

https://forums.motorola.com/pages/00add97d6c

Actually we can not yet upgrade the Bionic to ICS (Ice Cream Sandwich)- if you look more carefully at the page in the link you posted, you'll see they talk about he Droid azr, not the Bionic. The link above says they are still evaluating it.

I've had the MAP and Phonebook access pop up in the notification bar on my phone in the past only to get excited for it to not work, or work for one text message then nothing. Since the upgrade I've tried re-paring twice and only have had the phonebook access and not the MAP notification pop up on my phone. So quirky! I guess my last ditch effort will be a battery disconnect and repairing, AGAIN.

jrmexplorer, could you please add your experiences with your phone to the Compatibility thread?

I'm trying to get it going, but so far response has been pretty lame. Kinda disappointing considering how helpful this place usually is.

Thanks :)
