Today was a blast... went muddin with a friend of mine, but unfortunately we didn't have another vehicle to go with us. So we packed up the chains and hand winches, and went off to the trails/pit. Last night we had a lot of rain, so the mud pits were really big and wet, so I figured I'd stay outta those, but the trails were really fun. This was the first time I had been wheeling in the Explorer- first time actually doing the driving while wheeling, also- and it was great. Now I see why yall love this so much!

Only had one problem through the whole day, I got high-centered going over some deep ruts. I was trying to straddle the ruts, but my front tires slipped and the truck got high-centered. Took us 30 minutes or so to get it winched out, but we eventually got it out. Then, off to do some more wheelin'!

I was impressed with how the Explorer faired over the day, it went through several areas that I was a bit worried about without a problem. I'm sure I've got some battle scars from branches along the trails, but it doesn't bother me... I've already decided that I'm not gonna be **** about keeping this one perfect, because I know it won't stay that way! The paint is already a bit scratched up, so I figure it'll be less of a headache for me if I just don't worry about it.

Below are the links to all the pics I took today. In the pic showing the flex, the LR tire is off the ground a good 8"! Stuffed that RR tire all the way into the fenderwell. :-P

I had a great time today, you can bet I'll be doing this frequently!

I didn't take my explorer, 1 because it had been raining all week non stop and everything was completely saturated, and 2 because I just got the clutch fixed and I didn't want to mess it up already. But we still had a helluva time and we got video and my and my friend are going to edit it and put some effects and music to it, it will be sweet. I got this one shot of some 4wheeler drags in a field. I hopped on the back of my friend's 4wheeler with the camera and taped them drag racing. It looked very cool. I wish I could put it on the net. Here's a sample of the fun we had:

I live just off I-75 south of Atlanta, between Exit 222 and 223... today I went to an area with a big mud hole and some small trails right off of Exit 222. This was my first time wheelin', so I didn't wanna try anything crazy, especially since we didn't have another vehicle with us. There are several good trail/mud spots down here south of Atlanta, I just haven't been to any more of them - yet! I LOVE this stuff! I'm addicted already!

Are there any other forum members here from metro Atlanta? If so, maybe we could all get together sometime in the future and do some wheelin', how's that sound?

I'm originally from Marietta, now go to school in Auburn, AL. But I'm in town a lot, so an ATL get together would be cool with me.
