Hey everyone,

My father got a little crazy today and waxed my whole ride for me! He did a very good job! I'll attach photo's!

Now my dad was a little worried about some surface rust on the truck (aka he was bored) so he sanded it all down, neutralized the rust, and then coated it. So he had a very productive day!

Still have yet to really look into the car mats, been really busy here at school! Also am on call tonight so I might have some down time if its slow. (I highly doubt that this weekend). Well, talk soon!

Whew! Been very busy guys and looks like I will be just so busy these next few weeks with banquets, test, and finals. I do apologize but I will update with small projects that going on right now! So today my father cleaned up the motor and painted the engine cover that sticks to the hood! He did an amazing job! Here are some photos!

Enjoy! Also I have been taking a EMR course here at school and hopefully will be a registered EMR soon and that means I will have some lights in my truck (Blue lights here in CT, but red here in VT). So I have to figure all of that out when the time comes! Till then, gotta survive this semester!

I'm impressed! Thats really clean! What did he use to clean it? And to paint the cover?

Hey he used Rustoleum high temp paint for underneath and used 409 cleaner for the engine area. For all the plastic areas I used Mother's Back to Black cream. I say it came out very well!

Hey! Thought I would give another update while I have some free time! Well fixed the drivers seat so it reclines properly, one of the rails was disconnected. So that was a nice little fix! We got some nasty snow here last night. Can't say I was a fan of that! :thumbdwn: We also have some really bad flooding here and I have been on emergency call because of it! Finals are just creeping around the corner, so time to get my nose to the grind! But I think its time for a REAL mod and I am going to order my new rims this weekend! Just need to finalize what ones I want! Till then, I'll talk to you!

Well, BIG awesome update here! Came home for the weekend and absolutely LOVE the truck!!!

Last night I tested out the 4x4 on my backyard and it works great! Plus got a pretty cool new parking spot

So woke up today and my dad got the tires looked at (See photos) and the frame checked out (Looked bent when I saw it yesterday and freaked my dad out when I said that).

Well frame is fine and that is very good news! The wheels... are shot as you can see

It still holds air fine but is welded together behind the spokes

So thats not good! I decided to drop the spare and check that out as well, looks like it is in decent shape, were going to sand it down the rust and paint it.

Then we pulled the running boards off because they need some paint and the hanger for the passengers side is ALL messed up. I sanded down the inside of one and sprayed some Rustolium Rust stopper and primer on it (Thats not the acutal name but I can't remember right off the top of my head). Here are plenty of photos of the running boards!

So went looking around the truck some more and noticed I have a new muffler!

That went well, so I put her up on some jacks and then changed the oil and filter (77K miles) and it was for SURE time to change that old gross oil!

Also noticed that I will be needing new fog light housings, one is fixable and just letting in moisture and the other is cracked and has sand in it :thumbdwn:

Whew! Lot of work huh!? Got to give this guy right here a huge thank you for helping me out and doing all of the work before this post and picking the truck up for me when I was at school! :biggthump

Just ran out to autozone and picked up some new dome lights for the truck, mine are pretty dull and I'll be putting those in a little later!

So... Is it over yet? NOPE!

Well that is my big update! I leave with the truck tomorrow and will not be home for awhile. I'll post a little bit about gas mileage and other small stuff here and there in the mean time! Thanks everyone and I am very happy right now and can't wait to see how its going to look soon!

Didn't have a lot of time today but enough to sand down the spare rim and paint that

Well drove 260 miles to school and still have a little over 1/4 tank of gas left! I'm very happy with that!

Well, back to school! Back to that grind

Looks like everything's coming along quite nicely.

You might want to fit the spacers on your truck. If I remember correctly, the wheel studs are longer than the 1.25" spacers. If they are, you may have to grind them down a bit to get your rims to sit flush against the spacer.

Thanks for the tip! I'll have to check that out when I finally get home and put them on! It should be very close! I'll make sure to take photos and share what I have to do when I get to that point! Thank you!

I dig those rims. They aren't too different from the ATX's on mine. You've got good taste, lol
