Alright this is version 3.0.

2.0 had D-ring mounts added and 3/8 frame mounts.

1.0 we just won't discuss that it goes in the scrap along with this stuff

On to prep tomorrow, for some powder coating fun. Also need to add a couple tabs for rock lights.

that thing looks sweet. You are going to have alot of fans with this.

Thanks guys, the 33" spare didn't really fit underneath so I figured I need a project.

Why didnt you add the receiver hitch to the middle of the bumper instead of welding the whole hitch to the bottom which gives less ground clearence?

I like the Flatfender and vintage Miller!

Lookin good, cant wait to start on my own. You have pretty sweet Ranger!

I dont like reciever in the middle as it renders unusable for a trailer. I have gain about 4 inches since I siamesed the receiver to the bumper.

Also, I think the RCD Shackles will drag first.

48 Willys and a Miller older than me but welds great :D

Finished (minus powdercoat :))

I am not sure yet, I may end up colormatching with what Eric used on his mounty since my truck is the same color.

How is the hinge made? Is it metal on metal or is there a bushing or bearing inside?

Not a fan of the hilift mount but you did a nice job on the whole thing.

The Highlift mount was quick and cheap it work but it could be better, I know. If there are any pictures to guide my way by all means please. :D

The hinge is metal on metal but there is a for a grease zerk. Worked like that for 3 years now w/ regular greasing.

I think the powder coat will be a blue very close to the color of the truck

If I had good ideas on a highlift mount I would build a mount and have my lift in my truck instead of the garage. :D They are a pain to mount. I think Brian1 has his mounted on a swingout. Might try checking his buildup. The big issue I see with yours is it getting cought on low hanging tree branches. Also I have seen jeepers and others that mount the hilift on the bumper as the outer most point hit it on rocks and bend them.

just a quick observation as far as the high-lift is concerned...

why not mount it horizontal on the back side of the swingout by welding a couple bolts to the arm?

in your pictures looks to be enough clearance for it

Nice fabb work!
