1992 Mazda Navajo Truggy
Hello everyone. I am new to this forum but not new to the sport. Being a life long Ford fan I was torn to buy a Mazda. Its the principal behind it. I know below the emblem it is a Ford. I bought this Navajo with a blown motor for $500.00. I then bought a good used motor form a Ford junkyard for another $500.00.
36" swampers (military take offs)
pro-comp 16.5x8 wheels
DIY bead locks from Rough Stuff Specialties
Full size axles from 79 bronco

Here are pics of the progress so far. Hope they come through.

The truck cost $500. Not too bad condidering it has the big TTB axles and 8.8 with a locker

Military Swamper take offs. All tires had 3 holes drilled in them. The hundred dollar man in the high desert had them patched and plugged. One of the tires were brand new. I paid $100.00 each

Here are the axles from a full size 1979 bronco,
The front is a High Pinion Dana 44, the rear is a 31 spline big bearing ford 9"

Getting the rear hatch ready. The goal is to have a functional opening rear window.

The initial fit up. I have a lot of grinding and cutting yet to do.

Almost there

Here is a picture of the roof. I had to weld in the transition of the gutters to the smooth back hatch.

...Oh yea...I see a candidate for Truckhaven being built here..:biggthump

Chop on a 2 door, you don't see that every day

We actually go to Truck Haven a lot. Only difference is as of last year I was always on a dirt bike. Sold it to build this. I'm getting to the age that I need a cage around me. Young enough to still go fast and old enough to feel it the next day.

..Plan on seeing TH a whole new way..We head out there pretty often starting in October..

..When I get back from my latest trip, maybe I can come by and check out your project?...

Started with the bondo last week.
Still waiting on the wheels.
After all my parts come in I can get more progress pics.

ha! you picked this up in aliso viejo correct??

Looks like it's going to be a fun truck, I look forward to seeing it out at truckhaven too. Check out R.J.'s Navajo, he's in La Habra too.
