Official 2011 Uwharrie Planning Thread

I wonder if those Marines from last year will be there?

I'm facebook friends with one of them. I can send a message and see if they're still in the area.

Are there any hotels closer than 30 minutes?

Confirmed that they do NOT close the gate at night.

Also, do the electric sites have water? Everything at recreation.gov says "ELECTRIC ONLY", but most places with electric have water, but the Ranger told my friend that all sites do not have water in Arrowhead, which was kinda surprising to me.

Do they bother you for quietly drinking an adult beverage?

None of the sites have water but there a few few drinking water spigots around the campground where you can get water. Just no water hookups.

Your also not supposed to have any adult beverages at all. I have "heard" as long as its in a cup and your not raising hell, acting a fool, and minding your own business they wont say much though.

In case the wife is wondering the showers are pretty nice. They have a "family" bathroom that locks and has the shower, toilet, and sink.

OK, thanks. I think we went and checked that campground out once when camping by the zoo, and I think I know the bath house you're talking about. We got close to it, so the kids don't drive me crazy, but hopefully not TOO close. ;)

I have been thinking on that. It can be any movie. My dvd player will clean any movie so that will be good for all the kids.

huzzah! they better have some good ujoints in em

Ah, I see. You cannot break parts you do not run!

I just want everyone to remember that you need to get a camp site soon. They have a pretty good list now but that wont last long.

Hey! That's what I called my Explorer when I had it because of the exhaust leak it had LOL!!

It has been dead in this thread lately. Does anyone know if a group from another forum will be up there? Like the Tacoma guys last year?

This happened last year. We just started early. When it gets closer we will plan the meal and other things out.

We just need to get more to come. We have a good list but I want more.
