Hey guys one more question. I lifted my 03 st 4'' superlift. I have everything done except one thing. When i took the stock drive shaft off i did not scribe the front diff to xfer case. I put the superlift drive shaft on and now it vibrates over 70mph. I rotated it 180* by useing the ujoints. Im think all i can do now is indexing it with the six bolt that go into the xfer case? any help?

I have had my front driveshaft off many times and I never pay attention to how it was bolted on prior to removal.

i know its not the tires i have had sets on the truck i will check the ubolt up front thanks guys

I commented about this a few weeks ago and asked another member (cant remember who) if the SuperLift kit rotates the differential or just drops it w/o rotating the differential.

See the 2nd gens and STs have a true CV joint at the transfer case and a U-joint at the differential. Being so, the differential needs to be pointing at the transfer case -- which it does in stock configuration (w/o a lift). However, since a lift drops the differential X number of inches, then w/o rotating it, it is probably pointing that X number of inches below the transfer case. If this is the case, then the differential needs to be rotated (via shims at the mounting points?) so that it is once again pointing at the transfer case.

The superlift kit tilts the diff a little bit. But the CV style driveshaft is junk, you need to upgrade and get the double cardan style. My stock driveshaft was shot 2 months after putting the liftkit on my ST.

I have the aftermarket superlift drive shaft. My truck is also dog tracking. I have to fix that next weekend.

thanks again guys!!!!!

I think i figured out the problem. The rear end was dog tracking big time. It was off 5/8" That vibration may have been coming from the rear. I took it for a quick drive. Ill know more tomorrow.

Has anyone put a V8 in a st yet. Im starting to look in to it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I was think 302 out of an explorer?
