raising the front by the tortion bars?

A while ago I raised my 1998 2 door explorer maybe an inch by cranking up on the tortion bars but I had a hard time finding a nice accurate place to measure the distance from to make sure both sideds were level. Can anyone recommend a good place so I can make sure my truck is level? I believe it may be a little unlevel because I keep ruining my left front stabilizer link which has actually beem a problem since I bought the truck before I even touched the tortion bars.
