Ranger rollover...take 2

Windows?? He lives in the desert where it's been 110 or 117. Who needs windows?? :P

When it is 55 outside when we are wheeling in the desert and the wind picks up it starts sandblasting from the sand in the air you realize windows are nice. I keep ski goggles in the truck just for when the wind picks up. Over a winter of 8-10 wheeling trips you can plan on having two- three pretty windy days that make it miserable.

If "Chrome Ali" means chromoly, that $800 might be worth it. You can probably also resell the "Dever" springs for as much as "Deaver" springs :).

Yeah, money is tight but thanks for looking out;)
I don't really need a new cab, that would just be more work switching stuff over. I'm making decent progress on the roof of my cab, just needs a little more massaging...ok, beating:p:

I just almost puked. What a sad day! I say park it in the garage until you can swing a new cab.

Under a tarp on the side of the house will have to do:p:

I'd get a new cab if it was a DD or cared about it's looks but honestly I think i'd feel bad thrashin' a new cab after just replacing it. The doors close and the windshield is in tact so that's good enough for me. Just need to pound out the roof enough to get a cage in there.

LOL. Fo sho! I wish you were closer. My 2x ranger is on its last legs- but the cab is in nice shape!

Thanks Colin...i'll let you know. I need to finish some landscaping first.

Hrmp. A hydraulic jack, a 4x4 and some scraps of wood, and it will look like you was in a hail storm, not a roll over..

:D

I've been using a bottle jack stacked up on some risers I made for my jackstands. I place a 2x6 piece of wood between the jack and the roof to help spread the load. Some areas I won't be able to position the jack mostly a corner or edges so I'll have to pound it out by hand. Not the prettiest but it'll be good enough. No more show & shines for me I guess:p:

I just saw this thread. Man, I am really out of touch.
Those guys above you are complete losers. The only person who said anything was the dude with the camera. Too bad Colin wasn't around to jump on your right-rear tire.
If you take it to Matt's place, let me know so I can come over and watch you work.

Dude...At least offer to bring beer or something:rolleyes:

..or Dr. Pepper to keep Matt motivated:p:

I hope the umbrella did not get damaged:p:, because that is where I plan on watching the work from underneath. It has been hot here lately.

Umbrella survived but now there's nothing to mount it to...bed has been scrapped. You are more than welcome to be the official umbrella holder though Brian:p:
