Rausch Creek Sept 29-30

umm I dunno like 2 or 3 years ago in Mawah nj,
with Lindsey Doug,

reasons why:
being in upstate new york going to college - paragon and rauch creek are a ways away.
being broke cause I'm in college you know
being able to wheel locally with clubs, and farm land like 20 mins from here

but I would like to show up and four wheel the creek with you guys

Sounds like an upstate NY run is in order for the near future I'll come join you sometime this winter Lefy (maybe in the Catskills area? Thats pretty close to you I think). I used to go to school in Rochester so I do miss upstate.

Well, I want to get a Pine Barrens run going in the months after this one, so maybe that isn't too far a ride for you.

maybe, set a date and we will see. What are the barrens like? Rocks, mud, tree trails, all of the above?

I want to go because I don't know. I've been told it's thousands of acres of "every type of terrain you could imagine. Sand, mud, rocks, etc." It's much closer to me than RC so I wanted to give it a shot.

Saturday is still up in the air for me, all depends on how quick I get my parts and how much I get done this weekend. Sunday should be good for me as long as everything comes together.

Well, I'll be there both days now. I WAS planning on going to E-town this weekend but the dingbat who told me it was the 22nd was wrong :fire: Had I known that the fall swap meet is the 29-30, I would've asked y'all to bump our run back to the first weekend in Oct. Oh well, C'est la vie.

Oh, and the Pines are 90% mud/sand gooey mix. All the 'trails' are pretty much just fire roads, but you can still have an awesome time there. I'd be up for a Pine Barrens run.... I haven't been in forever

As for me, I will probably be there around 10-10:30 .. I'll be coming in from CO the night before so I might be a little late waking up Saturday morning.

No worries IZ. I'll be up until 2 am the night before with crap to get done, so I may be a bit slow to awaken. It's a 2.5 hour ride for me, so it's not too bad.

Is there a specific time you would all like to meet? Does 11 am sound solid? It's not that early, but if we have Sunday was can hit the trails then a bit earlier.

Were those pictures taken in the Barrens? Looks cool as hell.

Anyway, I'll worry about that run once we finish this one and repair any damage.

Chances are looking good that I will be going on Saturday, but I would really only be interested in doing easy to really mild trails. I just want to make sure that my Ex can make it home with no issues. It also looks like my girlfriend will be joining me as well. Has there been an agreed upon time of arrival yet? Is there anything I should bring with me? I do have a toolbox full of tools that never leaves my truck, but is there anything else I should plan for?

I'll be there around 10 to 10:30 AM so just show up around that time or shortly there after. Meet up at the parking lot (plateau looking thing -- also called the "staging area").

hunterdan -- no worries, we'll probably just do easy trails on the first day to get everyone settled in. I for one am still testing out the steering so I'm also crossing my fingers hoping nothing snaps.

And for everyone else, I can't quite remember if there's cell phone coverage out there (it is a very remote area) but my cell is 301.785.0803. So SuRrEaLNJ, since you're coming later on in the day, call my (or some1 else's) cell phone when you get close so we can start heading back towards the staging area to pick you up.
