Well I rolled my Explorer this today around 4:00AM on the I-5 south near the Tustin Ranch Road Exit.
What happened was I was in the #1 lane on the freeway going about 65MPH when next thing I know my Explorer just went right and headed for the brick wall on the side of the freeway. I hit the wall and after that my Explorer went over. It rolled at least 4 times and landed on the drivers side.
I was able to crawl out from in between the drivers side window and the ground. Amazingly I was not hurt I am just very sore.
The CHP officers and the fire department say I was very lucky to make it out alive and especially with no injuries.
I dont know what caused the accident but we think I might have fell asleep for just a split second.
Here are some pictures I took of my Explorer at the tow yard this afternoon.

All I know is that God is looking out for me.

HOLY ****!!! Glad you are ok. Sorry about the explorer. Wel on the plus side I nominate you for the

Ouch, glad you made it out okay! Hope it all gets sorted out.

Wow! Glad you're okay, man! Pictures are nuts. You are very lucky.

wow glad your ok

Good Lord!

Glad to here you made it out Ok. That thing held up pretty god for a wall and 4 rolls. What's your plans? that thing is a for sure total :(

Sorry to hear about the truck.

I was just thinking how quiet the Whoops section got. I didnt want this though.

Although while I understand that SUV's are prone to flipping, most of the time when you look here you realize how much force it takes to flip it when your on flat road.

Secondly I feel safer by these pics because the main part of the car (the whole cabin area) seems to hold its shape every time.

I do feel sorry for you, but if I may ask you a question. If you where that tired, why not take a nap in a parking lot or get a taxi?

Anyways if you didnt fall asleep I would like to know what happened. Because if you didnt, something clearly failed. Be nice to your self for a few days and give your self time to recover :)

Well you treated you explorer well, so in return, it held togather in its final act :)

Psssssh. that ****'ll buff out... :D

Seriously..that looks pretty bad. I am glad to see that you are ok.

Glad you made it out in one piece....

Sorry to hear about the truck...but it looks like it held up pretty well and protected you.

glad you made it out ok and sorry about the truck. It was real nice you treated it well and it helped you out in it's last act

I'm terribly sorry to see your Explorer like that, but I sure am glad you came through it ok!

Wow, that's terrible, but thank God for small miracles. If I had seen what you described with my own eyes I would not have expected the driver to walk away from it. Cars can be replaced.

Damn.. take the tires.

wow...gald to hear that you are ok...that just looks horrible

Thanks guys

As far as the Explorer the way my dad had the insurance he got the cheap plan so I found out that I will get nothing for my Explorer, no money I am just SOL.

I signed over the Explorer to the tow yard yesterday and they are just going to crush it.

And for the falling asleep part I dont know if I did or not all I remember is going straight and then going off to the right torwards the wall. I had just got off of work where I worked a 3:00pm-4:00am shift, but I didnt fell tired when I was going home.

Wow! Thank god you are okay. That looks like a violent crash to say the least!
I assume you were wearing your seat belt?

Man oh man screw the truck, all we care about is you!
I rolled my Ex last winter, not nearly as bad as you, but you better believe it effects the way I drive and how I feel behind the wheel every day.

wow that is scary. i have had 2 accidents and they are like nothing else. im glad that you came out fine. the passenger section of the cab held up very well.

are u planning on parting anything out? maybe you can get something for those tires.

No I signed the pink slip over to the tow yard and all they are going to do is crush the Explorer.
