I'll drop a comment Turdle. That SHO is one helluva car. I'm pretty sure that Mustang is not a GT, or it has a terrible driver. Either way, the SHO is still fast. I got to drive one. The torque curve is not a curve at all. It's more of a right angle that flattens out around 350 lb/ft. Which is exactly when your ass starts grabbing the seat.
They're incredible... Got to drive one at the Ford proving grounds (connections, yes... ) prior to the release at the auto show. That was an incredible honor and lifetime memory to be part of that.
The new EcoSHO will be crazy fun with a pure manual trans in it.
Agreed,
The Moose horn paddle shifter lacks the WOW that the SHO could produce with a real manual trans. I'm convinced that with a manual trans and a clutch drop it could break all 4 loose at the same time. I got some chirp out of the auto trans.
I beg to offer my opposing opinion. That is the best looking Taurus they have given us, and, it has a lot of European styling influence. I'd proudly drive one.
I am awaiting this technology in a V8
twin turbos and direct injection--ohh baby, would that be hot or what?
I thought that about the looks the first time I saw it, since it was such a significant departure. Now I've done a complete 180, and I think it's a really, really nice looking car. In person, they also look a lot better, IMHO.
Vs. the Cobalt SS- there is a lot more room in the backseat of the SHO for you and your girlfriend. And it isn't a Cavabalt either- I can't roll in any car that is a direct descendant of this:
