Signature LED Lights

I have a 2016 Limited and was able to turn off the DRL. The setting may be different in a Sport, however I went to Settings/Vehicle/Lighting/Daytime Lights and unchecked the box.

This really should be entitled Signature LED lighting as that is what the OP is really talking about...not the DRL.

Does anybody have the schematics for the headlights, wiring harness, LCM light switch etc.

I also noticed that when the parking lights are turned on the "signature LED lights" dim. Just an observation not sure if it will help me down the line.

That's correct, that the signature LED accent lights dim when the low beams are on.

Dark Car enabled on 2016 Sport = lights blink with lock and unlock. No exterior or interior dome lamps come on during unlock.

Is the LCM for an interceptor different than a LCM in the Sport? If so are they interchangeble and would it give me the results I want on shutting off the signature LEDs

This post and others like it, including mine are hilarious. All we want to do is turn off the signature light strip that runs around the headlights. It's amazing how confusing it is to most and all the different answers that are given. My findings are that all the dealers have no clue and can not perform the task. You probably need add a kill switch. Dark car mode needs to be done by an outfitter that works on the interceptors.

In reading the thread on Dark Car it seems this feature can be enabled by any dealer or anyone with access to IDS.

It isn't called an LCM in the 2016 (it is in the 11-15) as it is a simple switching system now and just called the headlamp switch.

They are not different other than some having fog lamps, auto lamps, etc. Changing the switch will do nothing.

I am referring to part #13C788 LCM for a 2016 explorer. Usually they are under the dash.

That has nothing to do with the headlamps...its for ambient lighting.

I probably need to go to a different dealer. I'm sure you guys are right in that a dealer can do it.
Can someone who has the "dark mode" make a video of its functions.
I would love to bring it to the dealer and show them.

I had the Explorer in for some work and they said they checked. Hate to think a dealership would lie to me
