The shackles are about $20 cheaper from tellico 4x4

With shipping there the same. Warrior offers free shipping the way it looks.

Warrior = $85.73
Tellico = $84.05

Hey all, my friend got down here and we are getting the transmission swapped. Hopefully my rebuilt one works and we can finish up this overdue conversion in the next few weeks. I also picked up some tow hooks while I was out, so I can also mark that off my list. I hope to see ya'll out at SMORR...if the river don't rise higher than my lift. :D

I'm down. I will be bringing my 94 ex cab ranger with a 5.5" superlift and 33" super swampers.

Definately looking forward to it. It will be the rangers maiden voyage

Those videos on page 12 really got me wanting to get the Explorer finished up so I dont have to take the Bronco out again. LOL. For the record, the tires on the Bronco are 39.5 Iroks, not 37's. Not that its a big difference, but point is, theres some decent rocks there. I wanna go up Rattler in the day time this trip so I can get a video of that trail I can see something of besides my rock lights.

Sorry for the wrong info...lol After 35", they all look huge to me :D

How many rigs you got going Gene? If you can get them to post up in here, I can get them down on the attendee list ;)

Ill know more closer to go time, but its looking like the 86 F350, the Comanchee, and the Cherokee (work schedules pending). I think the ranger is already signed up...

Finally figured out how to start an album. Posting pics there if anyone wants to see the carnage. I'll start a build thread as I self educate. Spent too many hours in shop class and not enough in computer literacy I guess.

does someone need warrior shackles, I have a set id sell for $40 +shipping.

You know its weird...I seem to have a working 4x4 tranny in my truck. :shifty_ey

I wonder how it got there??:scratch:

Hey Gregg, please remove that question mark by my name for the Big Dawg run, there ain't no question now!!!!!!!!!!:)

I have got a quick question on tires. On my explorer I have what equates to a 1.5" suspension lift. Unclemike is giving me a great deal on some 32x11.50x15's off Doc Jack. The deal is is that if I run WIDER rims will I not have to fender trim? From what I have seen I would seem to need some extensive backspacing to fit the wider 11's in place of my 9's to prevent rub. A body lift isn't too big of a deal, I have pretty much maxxed out my suspension in the rear (did I mention I hate shackles?) and I really don't want to push it. I have some dimensions from my truck if that will help? Also will running 32's on a 3.73 risk shaft breakage??

Maybe. Every rig is different. Fender trim would most likely be minimal in the front only.

You don't want more than 4" backspacing on your wheels. 3.75" is really as far as you should go, even though a lot run the 4". The higher the BS, the more it will rub on the inside, preventing full lock. An 8" wheel will run 11.5".

Also will running 32's on a 3.73 risk shaft breakage??

Only if your hammering the throttle like a mad man all the time. I have been running 31" with 3.27 on the 94. It has been thru Smorr a few times and never broke anything as of yet. I think your safe with the 3.73 & 32". Eventually you will want more oomph, and want a diff gear set up...its inevitable...:p:

Hey Ford Nuts....looking forward to this run. I have my first truck back now that owned in high school and guess what....its a FORD lol.

July will be here in no time....till then yall take and see ya soon!!

Breakin' shafts with 32s and 3.73s? Fuhgettaboutit! I have wheeled my Ex on 33s with 3.27s with no fear for years w/out a problem.

My arrival day will have to be Saturday in the morning. I got notified today that I am slotted for a school 12-16 July. The school is in Irving, which is between Ft. Worth and Dallas, this means Friday after getting released, I have to drive back to Jonesboro, pick up the rig and then head back out going thru Ft. Worth. And no I am not towing my rig up there and let it sit in the hotel's parking lot.
I can rack out at the Joplin rest area before heading to SMORR, since they don't open til 9, I can be there when they first open.
