Steering Shaft?

Anyone know which steering shaft is the one that gives everyone the problem by loosening up?

I replaced the lower shaft but I read that some say it is the Intermediate shaft.

I have included a picture of the steering shaft from Ford Explorer parts any help as to which shaft it is would be very helpful.

you didn't get another one with the brown plastic sleeve did you?

Ah brown sleeve? Yes, I am afraid I did. I know you suggested the one from the junkyard but I did not want to fool with trimming it down. I am a direct bolt in guy, I stink at fabricating stuff.

Thanks Jon, I am glad I replaced the correct shaft, just need the alignment now.
