Since the last attempt at this trip fizzled out, I figured it's never to early to get the ball rollin' to plan a trip out there.
I'm open for any weekend or even make it a 3 or 4 day weekend would be nice.
Looking forward to checking this off my places to wheel list...2 places in one year, first Moab and then Rubicon:D

hmmmmm:hammer:

Rubi is for sure on my list as well, but Moab is not hapinng this year for me:(

So I'm going to go with Colin on this one.

However, I for sure want to do End of Summer Run again this year, which could be Dusy:D

I live right down the road(about an hour from the start. so lets do it.

I'm planning on trying to get to the rubicon three times this year - June, July, August, and maybe in September. Trying to make up for last year's downtime..

I have also decided on no long distance trips this year; the longest is going to be Truckhaven. No Moab, nothing outside of California this year.

Signing up to see where this goes. As usual it all depends if she's broke or not.

"Subscribe"

(I figure if Tom's going three times this year, one of them HAS to line up with some of my available time)

 if i get gears in mine by then I'm in. its to close to say no :D

Just remember - the trail is the hardest in June (wet and sloppy), and the easiest in August/September (Jamborees have filled many of the holes..).

The Jamborees run the last two weeks of July, and the first few weeks of August. I also usually don't like to go during an holiday - so Memorial, 4th of July, and Labor day are out.

I also come back out via Loon Lake - that's where my trailer is normally located (although, if enough desire, Wentworth Springs is also an option)

Depending on when it is I'll be a maybe.

Tom, can you post up some dates that you think would be best to run up there then we can see what works best for everyone? I would of course like to avoid major holidays and events goin on up there.

How does everyone feel about running during the week or maybe part mid week into the weekend or vise versa?

The only date(s) I have in mind:

1) Trailtough usually has a run in June. This is the run I plan to try and make. I don't know when this run is exactly.

2) July - usually the weekend of the 20th, 21st, 22nd. After that, it's jeeper's time.. It may actually get moved up 1 week - I'm not 100% sure yet.

3) August - The candidates are 11th, 18th, and the 25th. 11th I'm not sure yet, 18th or the 25th should be easy.

Anything I can do on the fly. I do not have much vacation time this year (have to save it up, or I've burned it by that time), so a mid-week run for me could be difficult.

How does June 15th and or 23rd and 24th work for people. These dates would work really well for me and probably Show too.

It looks like June 16th and 17th will work better for Show. What does everyone else think?
