how many miles, what shocks are on it, and have you replaced any bushings, control arms etc.?
I thought I was doing myself a favor and installed "monroe sensatrac" piece of **** shock absorbers. What a waste of $200 that was. In fact, both the front shocks blew out after 8 months, oil leaking everywhere, the right one was bent. My stupid ass replaced them with the same crap for some reason, and after almost another year, they're both leaking again. My wife drives the truck- it's hers. It gets driven on the highway about 90%. I don't know wtf made them wearout like that.
The monroe shocks made the truck shutter from front to back every time I hit a bump. They truly are not meant as a match for the stock springs- and they are weak.
I just installed Rancho RS5000's today, WHAT a major major improvement- OMG. Dude, I drove around for an hour and couldn't wait to hit every bump in the road that I used to go around...LOL. Now it's like a frikin Cadillac. Before I was scared to have open drinks in the truck because they always spilled everywhere, but now its just plain awesome. Hope they last, they definitely match the stock springs very well.
The monroes were just to light of a shock for the weight of the explorer, monroe didnt do their homework.
