...It's time for maintaining the X...
...Concidering I do regular maintenance before and after trail runs, I usually do my main maintenance in the spring and fall at the end/beginning of the extreme weather seasons...This year my vehicle reminded me it was time for maintenance...
I started early by replacing fuel filters in both my trucks..Right after that I took another interesting way to change my tranny fluid...

...This afforded me some quality time to start on the tranny bling..

...I got that all better and replaced my shock bolts...

...Then it all started with this battery/alt problem...

...Battery seems ok now after adding water and installing my new/used 160amp alt...The standard 71 inch belt will barely worked with the smaller pulley, so I just bought the second listed belt for the X, the 68 inch Gator belt and it's a perfect fit, ($32)...
..Then this, no CEL/ bad throttle problem...

...As soon as I got that remedied and went to install the new Gatorbelt, My fan blades are now cracked in multiple spots...Picked up a new fan for 35 bucks, go to put that on and I noticed I'm missing a fan screw..

...off to the junkyard...Got that screw and the missing fender screws that have shaken off over the summer...
..Now, if these items quit showing up, I can finally get to do my steering box/pump repairs, maybe plugs and an oil change, and just maybe, have time to start on repairing the Rangers front end..
..The moral to this story is, it is time to do your maintenance...
