Ted, what about you? You should go get your neck checked out, just in case.
Maybe get them to pay for some topless massages or something.

...I did get X-rays and they sent them out to be read just to be sure my head is as scrambled as it was before....

...They gave me some Motrrin, Vicoden, and Soma...I like the idea of topless massages a lot better...:biggthump

...But I have to take my pills, relax, and get back to watching "Fantasia" , the way it was meant to be watched....;)

they should have skipped the X rays your just fine as always.....:D

It's ok to let them look, but don't let them touch. If you get a quote for $2,500 to fix something, they can do it for $1,000. But the trick here is you could also get it done for $1,000 yourself and spend $1,500 on some nice upgrades.

Glad to hear your ok!

Be careful, it will be easy to get your X totaled. It could be cheaper to take parts off this one, and transplant them to one with a good frame.

My experience with Allstate, is they don't really dick you around.. And yes, I have Allstate coverage on my VFR, and the cars have CSAA.

Glad t hear your OK Ted.

If they find any frame damage, they are going to total it. What BB? $1500 or something? Maybe we should al start looking for a transplant candidat:(

Damn Tbars, that looks like one helluva hit to the rear of your X. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling only a little worse for wear. I'll be thanking that great "Spotter-in-the-sky" tonight. I completely agree with RangerX, make sure you and your Dr. are both 110% sure that there is no hidden damage to your head, neck or back before letting this guy or his insurance Co. settle on any damages or release them from liability. My wife is permanantely disabled due to a traffic accident. She was sitting in a parking-lot driveway, getting ready to merge into traffic when she was T-boned by a Toyota Tundra, or something like that, that crossed 3 lanes of traffic to hit her square on the driver's door in her old Ford Tempo. He was doing between 35-40mph when he hit her and totalled her car. Wiped out the door, front fender, bent the frame and even broke the driver's seat, sheared the bolts holding it to the floor and broke the seat-back frame. Anyway, it took several days and many X-rays and a couple MRI's for all the problems to be discovered. She ended up with a closed head injury causing migraine-like headaches, a broken collar-bone (fractured in 3 places) and dislocated shoulder. I'm just glad to hear that you came out of it all in one piece. Cars and trucks can be replaced but good health cannot and living with chronic pain has to be the worst thing in the world to deal with. Get well soon my friend, my wife and I will be saying prayers for you.

...Thank you Gentlemen...:salute:

...I must say my Doctor is on top of his game and I was at their office within 3-1/2 hrs of the accident...:biggthump

...He gave me his personal cell phone in case I have any needs...He showed me all the X-rays on the spot and sent them out to a specialist to re-read just to be sure...I am scheduled for an update next Thursday and he said there will be therapy starting after that...

...The initial X-rays look fine on both the neck and the skull...I was concerned as the hit was just at the base of the skull..The knot is at the bottom of the "Knowledge bump" but the indentation from the seat frame is just below the knot...That, and still feeling a little dazed 3 hours after it happened prompted me to get my butt over to the Doctor's office...

..The only real side affects is and was, a little blurred vision when reading small print...It comes and goes only when reading and he is aware of this...Why do the Doctors and Ins. co's have you read all the small print before they talk to you when you have a head injury???..

..They told me to call immediately if I start to feel any twinges or chest pains...He also did a full exam on my whole body but the one thing that bothered them was my blood pressure was high...It is usually is about 120 over 80 and at the time of visit it was 143 over 90....

...The X still will have a long life even if they think of totaling it..Then I will make sure to get a Plasma torch and big Welder for my trouble...

That is entirely unfortunate. Not to jump on the bandwagon, but I'm glad you're in relatively good condition. I'm on that part of the 91 just about everyday and it's not hard to imagine this situation. I hope your truck comes out okay too - there aren't many like yours around here.

...Brian, I was just looking at your pics and you should really start a registry with those pics here...There are a bunch of us who go play in the same area's as you do...;)

...Those are some really good pictures..:biggthump

I'm pretty sure you know, but being this isn't your insurance company you have all the leverage in the world here. Being you have a custom rig they can't just offer you the totalled vehicle amount and call it a day. Any offer they make you can refuse, and you are well within your rights to refuse to accept it being totalled and demand they pay the repair price.

...I just got to thinking I may have been wrong about the 2004 Hummer front bumper...

...It may not be hollow behind the license plate and my hitch just punched a hole in it...:dunno:

anymore carnage pics?;)

...These are about all I have on the computer right now...I will post my bumper pics monday...

...Looking up from the bottom of my Hummer Harpoon...:p:

...And the offset tranny mount...

...From what I could find online, it appears the Hummer has a built in front hitch behind the license plate, in the front bumper...

Oh hell no!
I just saw the first post and didn;t even read any further--sorry Ted I have been a little preoccupied--

OH man, I hope you are ok-

( now takes time to read)

Ted wants a Hummer now......;)

you never did say how tweaked the Hummer got besides a hole in the bumper :dunno:

...It's brush guard bent to the grill and the hole in the license plate.......It now appears that my hitch must have met his front hitch, and that's why the initial damage looked so minimal to both vehicles..

...And I already no my X can outdo a Hummer in so many ways...:biggthump
