Titanvs F150

Al, I just bought the F-150 over the Nissan and the Toyota the other day...why?? I got the Super Crew Lariat 3/4 ton version with 4 doors, a 9900 lb towing capacity, more interior room, and I got it for 23k after rebates, incentives, X-Plan and trade...Nissan and Toyota couldn't (or wouldn't) match the price by a long shot.

holy crap!

good deal

Jeff, thats a good deal. We looked at those trucks and they just didn't match up to the Titan in my opinion ( and I am a Ford man through and through ). He got the Titan for $29k.

We spent several hours detailing the beast today. Dawn wash, claybar, dawn wash, Z2 Pro/ZFX. Z6, 2 more coats, followed by Z8.

Shines like a new penny.

you other guys nearly put me to sleep :o

glad hes happy..thats the main point. i had the chance to ride in a T and drove it around a yard. IMO it does not stand up to the new f-150 in anyway. the lariat super crew f-150 is the nicest truck there is on the market(except the harly 250s) its soo plush and rides like a cloud. fells very solid! my next truck will be a f-150 super crew(old body style).

Not all F-150's are 1/2 ton now. The SuperCrew is rated as a 3/4 ton F-150. My towing capacity is 9900 lbs and my bed weight capacity is 1450, which makes it a 3/4 ton truck. Unfortunately, that also means I get the Class 2 sticker on the windshield and the increased yearly registration fee :fire:

Whatever you say......

look it up. just because your state says that anything that can tow overXXX is a 3/4 that does not mean it is. f-150s are 1/2 tons.

Although it kind of makes sense. The new F-150s are beefier and since they did away with the light duty F-250s that were the same design as the 150s they might be trying to cover a little more ground.

the f-250 light duty was just to take over for the f-250 when it went from the 92-97 body style to the super duty body style. then they called it the 7,700 series f-150 from 2000-03 its still a 1/2 though.

When the F-150s went to the new body style they were still making the old body style F-250s. And they were making the new F-250 Super Duties and the light duty F-250 style at the same time.
