I agree with darkman indefinitely! If you are willing to come down to the outings then you can surely be a part of the club no doubt. I don't know how everyone else feels but I was thinking we could meet up about once every month or if preferred we could make it once every 2 months, that way we can pick dates that will work with everyone. For example, say we meet during a weekend in June, have breakfast together and then do a trail ride somewhere not to far out from us, then possibly barbaque where ever we are at. Everyone can pitch in and bring something. What do ya'll think?

trail ride....hehehe...trail ride...hehehe. make sure we 2wd stokers can tag along..nothing too fancy now.

STOCKERS, I'LL TRY. LOL.

In some instances I'm sure stockers can make it, however on some occassions 4x4 is necessary. In the 4x4 required trails, I figure maybe some of you could just ride with a teammate who has a 4x4 and an extra seat if you wanted to.

actually, if there is no mud involve, i am good to go. i found that out the hard way. dry and rocky pathment is goooooooood. mud...no good...especially with open 2wd.

schweet

I'm so excited. (I know, I don't get out much.)

It's been so long since I was able to meet up with a gang of like minded Ex'ers and put some character dents in our grocery-getters.

I KNOW I can do a stocker run, even with my bald scorpions and wobblly ball joints. God willing, I'll be able to put some cash into BamBam soon and feel confident going on a modified run.

hahahawheeee!

So, since I'm new to the area, you guys tell us all about some spots to go. The only thing I've ever heard about in the area is 360, which I understand is prone to ticketing. :nono: And I'm not even sure where that is. I live by 360 and I-30, and I haven't seen any turn offs or trails.

if i remember, the 360 trail is for mod trucks mainly. it is muddy for the few times i saw people running by the 360 freeway. dont exactly know where. i like the dusty trailll... anyone know where?

Meet and WHEEL o yea!

Id be interested while Im back in Garland. Im Geralds brother. I bounce back and forth between here and
Aspen Colorado. When Im in Aspen its only 4hrs to
Moab! :D

David

Welcome aboard, AspenX!

Gerald's brother (good seed)... live in Texas (good neighbor)... frequent Aspen (good taste)... Three strikes! We've got to meet. :D

Aspen was our favorite hang out for summer weekends when we lived in Co Springs. (Of course we usually had to sleep in the Ex. )

I'll probably go to 360 in about two weeks.

Hey if a couple of you want to ride along me and a friend will probably go out to 360 in a couple of weeks. I use to go about every weekend, oh and yes MOD trucks only. There is lots of mud, and even since I put my 35 inch mud terrains on I still have to use my winch two to three times a tripp. A lot of that area has been dozed over to make room for buildings. I've heard from time to time there are people ticketed however I have never seen the cops out there and never personally new anyone who got a ticket. If there are any officers on this site who know about the area and can give a definite answer on this issue I'd appreciate it.

OK guys, gals and clowns!

Waco, Texas checking in here, I wanted to goto AGR this past Memorial Day Weekend but they were closed, so I went to Ledgewater insted, as well as Kingsland Slab's and Colorado Bend State Park.

So let's get this thing back on track here, I'm set to roll out for an eventful weekend, all I need to know is weather we're camping or not, so is this a day thing or a fully weekend meal deal!???

For me coming up I-35e north to Ft. Worth then on to HWY 81 to Bowie, them Montigue and right to Nocona, if we meet it looks like most of you all are coming out of Dallas or Arlington, so I figure you guys are gonna meet somewhere in Denton or such.

So are we leaving Friday night or Saturday morning early?

And I see most of you guys are pretty well modded, and some of you guys are 2WD, I'm not lifted but I do have 30-9.50's on a stock Navajo, it will go in quite a few places as you all very well know.

So if you 2WD guys and the one stock 4WD (Darkman) want to team up with me that's fine, be reminded I have never been to AGR so please bear with me.

if you need to contact me feel free to call 254-715-7361, if I'm stuck under a vehicle and can't get to the phone lease leave a message and I'll return you call ASAP.

I'm on your way, I'll do the "ride-a-long" thing and pitch-in for fuel and goodies!

AGR WHEELING CAMP.

I have a feeling at AGR you won't get anywhere without a 4x4. I have never been there so I would hate to recommend you go if you have a 2wheel drive. However for all of those with a 4x4 who would like to go with me you are more than welcome to come. It cost $20 a day for driver and vehicle & $5 for each additional passenger. I am going to test the waters for ONE DAY
May 31st (Saturday), I will not be camping since I live so close. For those who have 4x4 but not many mods, if you would like to attend I will keep on trails that are more suitable to your vehicle if needed, my main reason for going is I've never been there. I would like to see what type of trails they have and how hard the obsticles are. If anyone knows of any trails nearby that do not require 4x4 that they would like to try out please post them, I'll get some more info on the sites and try to piece something together. I'm in for just about anything.

So if you are interested in meetin up with me please post.

Me and SVT Girl will be there!

We will also have two digital cameras and a video camera!

I'll catch the next run!

I cureently need an A9P computer for the truck and about 3 weeks of work. Shop should have it done this month. So I'll be a the second or third group meeting.

Thanks Rob

WE HAVE TO MAKE IT ANOTHER WEEKEND AGR CLOSING THIS WEEKEND!

AGR according to there forum is closed this weekend, so we will have to reschedule. However if you would like to still come down we can go to 360 area and offroad. Of course I'll still have burgers and hot dogs.:D

Yeah that sounds good, or I know for a FACT that the Kingsland Slabs are A-OK by the law enforcement about wheeling on, I know this as we ran into them lastweekend about camping, and they said we can do what ever we want in the river and around it, so no tickets and lots of area to travle troought, plus since your modded, I can follow your line to make sure I don't get into to deep of water.

Which ever you prefer is fine by me, but from your description about 360 that might be a little more than my "Nasty Hoe" can hang with, 6 to some half a dozen to another I can hang either way.

Why don't you guys take over the old Texplorers website. Kris Guilbeaux is the current contact for that site, but it hasn't been maintained or updated in a couple of years. Kris said he'd be willing to hand it over, since he has a newfound home at Demon4x4.com. I think it would be a good idea since Demon4x4.com is not Explorer specific, or really even Texas specific, for that matter. We just happen to be based in Texas. You could still divide it up into North / South Texas if you wanted. If I remember correctly, someone had purchased Texplorers.com as an address, but I don't remember who it was or what happened with that. It might have been Rod (Sinjin or Sinjinpez, something like that).

That would be a great idea, I already have a message board that can be re-arranged to accomodate this type of stucture and I don't mind paying for the domain name.

Give me the big scoop and I'll make it happen!

He already has pictures of the Kingsland Slabs on there too!

CHECK it!:
