I'll ask James if he prefers lambada. It's quick for me to change, he's just never asked me to.

wideband more accurate?

Replacement of the pre-cat sensors every 100K miles is probably a good general rule. As they age the voltage swing decreases. The high voltage usually decreases more than the low voltage increases. I should replace mine because I don't know the history of my Sport prior to 150K miles when I purchased it. I know the right side was replaced at some point because the wiring to the connector is too short. If you still have the original O2 sensors your wideband may be more accurate but it is only on one bank.

Rock Auto, Here I come.....

YAY! glad its running now don. i kinda feel bad because i was leading you down the wrong path by blaming the maf.
when you doing a rock auto order? i might be doing another one in a few days

Shoot....i saw 18.00 shipping on the O2 sensors and pressed 'go'. if ar103 plugs ship from the same location as your order, I'll share shipping though.

Progress

Congratulations! I am making turbo noises as I move around my house now.
Cant wait to hear about future progress!
I will check the datalogs out later when I can think straight.
2000streetrods post about the percentage's of fuel adjustment needed show's how close it is so I know you are track to getting this thing dialed in.
Good work!

WTH! summit shows that as a good number, but nothing on rock auto?

Your right, I can't find them either the rock auto. I'm super surprised.
Br7ef NGK. The gt500 guys like them. They are inexpensive on rockauto.

:bounce:
I drove to work today.

Still in the early stages of tuning, and the truck is still running rich, but James gave me the go ahead.

I have not pushed boost yet, but at least I have my dd back. Now the pressure is off (no pun intended) and the tuning can take its time. I'm sure there will be some unforeseen issues that I will need to sort out also. If it goes completely smooth, I'll be surprised.

oops, thanks JD.

Driving

:bounce:
I drove to work today.

Oh hell yea! How did it feel so far?

James sent me a file that's closed loop. So I uploaded and went for a drive.
Everything looked ok as far as a/f ratio, so I did a short wot pull. I think I have a boost leak.
I saw max 2 lbs boost. Unfortunately I wasn't logging when I took it right up to close to 6000 rpm. The wheels did chirp going in to 2nd gear, so I know there is some boost as it wouldn't do that before.

Both the bov and wastegate are used, so they are an unknown and one of them might be leaking. I might make a block off plate tonight for the wastegate, and/or see if I have a piece of tubing to swap in place of the bov. I'll start with whatever's easiest.

I don't think it would go so well for me.
Somethings bleeding off boost. I know its not the silicone couplers, so it has to be one of the two things designed to bleed off boost (Blow off valve, or wastegate).
I'll find it.

I plugged the wastegate hole with a blocker plate and went for a drive.
It did bring boost up to '4' on the boost gauge, but that was about it. The boost didn't really seem to come on any faster.
Maybe I need to try a analog boost gauge before the throttle body to see whats going on.

My boost gauge equation is off also, it doesn't track my gauge. When I hit 4 lbs boost for a sec, the equation only showed 5 lbs vacuum on the log.

hmmm....oh well, no rush on this. Right now, Im just happy to have a running truck.

That is AWESOME !!!

No, no......you didn't read 'the front wheels lifted off the ground', you read 'the rear wheels chipped going in to 2nd'. :D

Anyway, as the tuning progresses ill figure it out. Way too much timing to be under boost right now anyway. Detonation city.
