thanks! i will do that! :) i may stop in at carquest too just to check

Hey turdle... since i know you love spending my money :) hehe jk! but i am replacing with the timkein anything else i really should replace while i have it apart?

i am just going ahead and buying my new shocks right now also. but anything i should look into? i have the upper control arms less than 500 miles on them. everything else is pretty stock besides the one lower ball joint on passanger side

Other than checking out the sway bar endlinks, I think you should be covered. The alignment rack should have identified anything else which would be worn out.

Hey Turdle,

Is there a guide on here the shows someone removing the ABS sensors from the bearings?
I've been having a front left wheel sensor issue for so long and it's been driving me nuts. The hub is fine, I did the whole check.

However, I read on here numerous times that to fix the sensor, the whole hub needs to be replaced..

Can I just spray some like, brake cleaner or mass air flow sensor cleaner at the sensor and see if it'll help?
Thanks a lot. :)

Thanks turdle im all set on those! replaced each side atleast twice so far :)

Dj- from what i have seen YES you can replace just the wheel sensor but the cheapest place i could find one for my truck was about $40.00 on rock auto and that was for the cheapie one. knowing i have 150K on my truck and original hubs i said yup time to replace the hubs so i spent an extra $60 on each side to get the piece of mine that they are new, especially having TT and getting new tires it will make me feel better.

and also at carquest they have new hubs for 50.00 so just something to think about. but there is a thread on here for replacing the abs wheel sensor just search itll pop up.

The more time I spend on this site the more I hate not having free shipping to Canada.
Living up here means I don't get these good parts deals.

Could you possible link me to that thread? It'd be great!
Thanks.

And, my ABS issue is weird. The light only comes on when I start moving.
If the car's turned on, it's all good, when I start going like 5 KM/h, the ABS light turns on.
I'm thinking it's a dirty sensor, makes sense, right?

i cant speak for the issue as im really not sure.... you want a link to the hubs i bought or to the how to thread?

oh sorry! i thought you had decided to do the whole hub. yea i am not positive on just the sensor.
as far as i know its the exact same process just instead of replacing the hub, you will have to do disconnect it, i am not quite 100% positive on exactly how that works. maybe someone can chime in, i honestly, even though i like to watch my money, i would replace the whole hun.

remove the caliper pads and rotor and dust shield undo one bolt holding the cable against the hub and pry the sensor out making sure its rubber sleeve comes out of the hole, then undo 3 or 4 plastic clips and up by the bumper is the plug

Do the brakes have to come out? If I turn the wheel can't I get in from the side?

on my 98 the dust shield partialy blocks the abs sensor where it goes into the hub sorry you really need to pull the brakes and dust shield
