I'm going to be installing a 410 cam and Smith bro's push rods this summer. I'v read that you want to use comp cam's spring part # 988-12. These are $78. Is that 78 for the whole set, or 78 per cylinder? I've tryed calling the tech line for awhile now, but can't get through.

Are there any other company's springs I should consider? I'm looking for something inexpensive (if I have to pay $78 a cylinder for new springs, i'll be leaving the stock springs in).
Does anyone have part #'s/prices for other springs?

Thanks

Well, let's see: $78 x 8= $624.00

Hope not and sincerely doubt it.

haha its a 6 cylinder

but yeah that should be for the 'set'

i would use crane cams, Dual Valve springs...

It is $78 for the entire set, You'll need Comp Cams 988-12 springs and Crane Cams 99947-12 retainers. The -12 is the quantity. Get these in this combo because they have been tested and they are known to work. The reason you don't use Comp retainers is because they don't have the right ones to work with the stock valve locks.

Later Doug.
