Ok, so it's only my second day with the car. I haven't had time to put it through any real paces yet. I just got my plates for it today and I still need to have it inspected. I picked up some detailing supplies and started cleaning it this evening, but before I got a chance to start the polishing and waxing phase, dew started falling. At least it's been de-waxed, claybarred, and washed. I'll finish everything tomorow.
While I was washing it, guess who pulled in the driveway? Yep... the Explorer owner. Well, actually, it was his girlfriend... he's still on home confinement. Anyway, they finally decided to sell it back to me. Too bad for them and me. I already bought the Focus. Buying the Focus was probably the better thing to do in my situation because I know I'm likely to have a long work commute when I graduate in December. However, a little piece of me died inside when she pulled in and offered to sell it back. If anyone is in the market for another Explorer, shoot me a PM. She said they'd take $4500 for it. It's well worth it. I took VERY good care of it while I had it and he's either been in jail or on home confinement for 99% of the time they've owned it, so they've only put like 500 miles on it.
