wtb 99 sport smoked tail lights for it

You can get this stuff, I think it's called auto shade, but I'm not positive. It's tint in a can. You take off your lights and spray on as many layers as you want. The more layers the darker the tint. It's only ~$12 for a can.

Just so you know, from what I have seen, niteshade usually is pretty dark, I wouldn't call it "smoking"

I would recommend using a combination of clear paint and black paint, and spraying that on. That way you can control the shade better.

Alot of people have used Testors Transparent Black Window Tint with great results.

Everyone that I know who has tried putting tint on them has had the tint blow off.

you can either go to walmart and search for a type of model paint called "testors" (thats the brand name), in which case u need to buy the black and clear coat to finish it off, or you could get it from this website:

Um, yeah, if he doesn't take them, I would be willing to trade you. I wanted to get that style of taillights anyway, and then smoke them, soooo..

Edit: You sure they won't fit a 96? They look identical...

Ya sure.... You can bolt them up with no problems. BUT, the liftgate of the 98 + sticks out further than the 96 and the lights follow the line of the 98 liftgate. So the taillights will stick out a good inch or 2 more than your liftgate door and look like a dog turd on the rear of your X.
You wouldnt like it....
