all right. just to clear everything up about going mainstream look at the band 311. super mainstream and still have that "underground" kinda feel. also, bands make next to nothing on cd sales. they make their cash at concerts and live shows. the record companies make their cash on the cd's and stuff like t-shirts, stickers, etc. trust me, i know firsthand.
anyways, i have a stock systemin my truck that i love listening to trance music at night cause it keeps my awake for some odd reason, but in my house have a killer sound system and stuff that i like to listen to is:
fatboy slim
daft punk
311
classical stuff
trance stuff
old school rap (talking about chicken tasting like wood, not guns and gangsters and fast women)
also this killer thx demo cd that gives every single part of your speakers a killer workout

mainstream

I don't mind mainstream artists, lord knows I listen to alot of them too. However what bothers me is when a band sells out or says they aren't mainstream and are.

Examples: Kid Rock, guy tells you he's in for the cash and women. I respect that cause he's telling the truth.

Limp Bizkit, they say they aren't mainstream and don't sell out. Listen to the 1st albumn compared to the last.

Sugar Ray - ya they suck IMO now, but if you listen to their 1st albumn, they had some good music. :frustrate

Eminem - Loves to shoot his mouth of and make very radical raps, yet he doesn't want fans to bother him. Sorry buddy it comes with the job.

And on a side note, I wana say I respect eminem on some of the things he says where he is speaking the truth and telling the world how it is, but I do think he goes a little far in some cases. I don't like him or hate him.

I am a fan of Wutang, however I find that their **** doesn't bump hard. They have that high bass, andtheir recordings, or alot of them, aren't very high qualit. Nevertheless, the WU is hellabomb and taleted...gotta respect
