Tbars, excellent videos. I've been to all of these places. Darwin was the falls I had mentioned several posts ago. That bar was also the one I couldn't remember the name of. All of the places in the video are worth considering for your trip.

A couple of things...

1. Regarding the layover in Barstow on the night of the 23rd - my Dad and I are staying in the Best Western. I don't know if there are any campgrounds close by or not. I mention this so everyone can do a little pre-planning.

2. If everyone (or anyone?) wants to PM me their info, I will put a list together and email it back to everyone.

Info such as: name, screen name, cell phone number, email address, vehicle type and color, days you will be on the expedition.

3. Meeting Places.

Mojave Road - Avi Casino parking lot at 9:00 AM on the 21. Departure shortly thereafter.

Death Valley - Stovepipe Wells Village at 2:00 PM on the 24.

Do these times/places work for everybody?

...The area has received a bunch of snow and high winds today and they closed 395 down..

..I was trying to find the Huell video from a couple years ago when DV was under water and people from all over the world were coming out to raft and canoe..That only lappens like once every 100 years but we still have a chance with the way the weather has been..

Just under 2 weeks to go and I ripped everything out from under the front of the frame today Another few days to get it back together and then get some test miles on it. Then I need to replace the fuel filter, pull the t-case and find the seal that is leaking and I still need to get my dual battery setup installed and wired. Want to push the trip back a few weeks? : Still hoping to make the Mojave portion but still cant confirm I will be there...

Man this sounds like a great trip. I live in Ridgecrest so it's not too far. However, Myself, wife, and kid are doing a family trip with a couple of families of some guys I work with will be exploring Pleasant Canyon through the south park loop on Mar. 26th. Maybe we'll see each other in a passing... I hope it isn't on the South Park Trail going opposite directions of each other though. If you come up south park... be weary of chicken rock. Some have gone over the edge when underestimating... Just take your time and bring spare(s) lots of sharp rocks up in the panamints....

OK, not everything but close - Coils, shocks, radius arms, radius arm crossmember. Tomorrow the coil buckets come off (not in my original plan but necessary after todays mock up)

Current weather in DV - mid 50s at night, upper 80s - 90 during the day, sunny.

... I'm in San Diego driving the snot out of the Ranger but I've been daydreaming that I'm home working on my trucks...I should be home by monday which I have to jjobs there to close out... That should leave me a couple days to work on the truck..
