I powder coated a set of exhuast tips for sparkyexplorer, and the 400 degree cured powder turned to ash-for what that's worth. These were rear exit tips.

I did a lot on my sliders last Monday had them all mocked in place. All the mounts are on the truck. Had the sliders on jack stands to make the braces to the frame mounts and the big band saw blade took a crap on me. So new ones are here and tomorrow I hope to have them all done and headed to the oven for the powder coating. Just in time for Moab on Aug 19-21st.
K finish welded the sliders today. ALL DONE!!!!!!! They are going to be taken to the sand blaster tomorrow and powder coated on Wednesday! I am going to do a hammertone semi gloss black. It should look real slick next to the bed linered rocker panels. I'm way excited! Will final put them on Saturday! Then post some pics!
They are all done! I LOVE the way that they turned out! Will get them on this coming Saturday! Let me know what you think. Can't beat the perfect powder coat job and since I am friends with my powder coat guy it was only $40 to have them done. Sand blasted the whole things before the powder coat its not coming off, (maybe when I slide on rocks)
Okay here they are done!! They turned out great and almost look like factory running boards might, meaning most people would never know that there is 87 LBS of 1/4" steel on each side to protect the truck! Let me know what you think. The extra time I put in was way worth it Took six hours to get them on. I made them very tight to the frame they will stay there with no bolts. Just what I wanted 0 slop anywhere!
Sorry they are all phone pics. I will get some better ones later while wheelin! Wicked string though. I can lift the whole side of the truck with them and they don't budge!
Dang, you did a very good job in making rock sliders! Will you make me some and I'll pay you? haha, I'm planning on making rock sliders soon but have no idea where to start yet.
