has anyone tried using a 1" phenolic intake manifold spacer? or header wrap? do they help the 5.0l very much? just wondering because everybody always says that heat is what kills performance, especially in the 5.0l expo's

There are a few here that are using the spacer and have noticed extra torque.

As far as header wrap I know of no one using it. The major power killer is the very restrictive stock exhaust manifolds.

The only way to go is a set of Torque Monsters headers.

i already have a fully custom exhaust so manifolds are no problem, but thanks for the info, i will look around some more

Pics of header fittment please...

yah i will try to get some pics tonight, but this will be a first for me. so it might take a little while. Plus it is finals week for me.

Cool, I'll check back tonight.

The Torque Monsters will run circles around the FMS headers. The FMS are marginaly better than the stock exhaust manifolds but that's it.

yah it wasn't my decision to make. It was my brothers truck and being a college student, he didn't have enough money for the tm headers.
