5th Annual EF S.M.O.R.R. 2013 Pre Halloween Spooktacular!! plse read

Jake, can you move me to the maybe list? I took a new job and im not exactly sure how it is going to work out financially just yet. Its doing something i love rather than just making a paycheck so i wasnt to worried about the prospect of losing a little pay for the time being.

Bummer, losing more members than we are gaining here. Just a couple more months to smorr here guys! Bump to your friends.

So, I'm gonna say I *might* be in, if I can get the new tires and lift installed in time. It won't be in the desert ex, but I can do some trails in the new ST. Nothing too crazy though, I still need to do the front end rebuild to replace all this stock crap.

Does anyone think a locked 2WD with 33" ATs and 3-4" of lift would be able to do anything there? I'm super excited and would love to go but being 2WD kinda limits me. I'd still be stoked to do even the "easy" trails if there are any.

Varsity, you could probably run the level 2's, but there are only 2 of those IIRC, and most of the group will be wanting to run 3's and 4's. I would also be concerned about overheating your transmission without the ability to run in low range. I did run peewee's crossing in 2wd on 31" at's last year due to a broken axle, but it was a bit of a challenge getting back up ranch road. You may be able to find an open seat with another member. I would offer you a seat in my rig but i am planning on buying a 2 seater ranger and bringing my GF if I make it down this year.

Well, now
Since the puff wagon has low range, we might just have to come out for this to shake it down. We're planning a Colorado trip 3rd week of August, so, if I can swing the extra cash we'll be there. If it is real hot we might just stay for one day though. I haven't had a chance to do the air conditioner mod to our tent yet-:(

I just bought a fourwheeler ('04 Raptor 660) three weeks ago. I know I need a helmet and flag, but can quads ride the same trails as vehicles? If so, I'll know more about what's going on and will attend if possible.

You cannot ride sport quads at SMORR, only 4x4 quads.

BOOOOOO! I just looked it up on Riderplanet-usa.com and it looks like I can ride at Tuttle Creek. So whenever that meet is, I'll try to make it.

If I make it down i may have to bring a few things to have ya powdercoat. Save a few bucks on shipping lol

HMMM guess i will have to shoot for next year as i only have add-a-leaf torsion twist and 265/75R16. next year i wont be deployed and will have the tuner, and 4.56s to push it. and maybe up size to 285/75R16

I'm forsure out.

Just not worth it for me to come down later on Saturday and have alot going on locally.

Everyone have a great time, my favorite park in Missouri!!!

Ok fellas we are just over a month out now and not gaining too much steam here. Change the date? Plow ahead? What to do, what to do? Im trying to get a group of 'others' together here from KC so it might add some rigs but with only about four confirmed X's we are looking a little bleek... You Snooze, You Lose.

I'd be good with the weekend after, but don't change the date just for me.

I've been contemplating taking a trip to KSRocks, for my birthday the first weekend in August. Could be a fun little trip for us KC area guys.

If it were me I'd wait and go when weather is nicer in the Fall, it's gunna be hot and if you don't have your cooling system top notch several may run into problems with the heat.

The problem with summer is there is always alot going on. Another place the group may want to consider sometime is Flat Nastys, which you can still wheel all night long and you can ride Atvs, which can bring more members out with Explorers towing their smaller toys... just a thought, trails are just as good as Smorr, just basic camping, but nothing wrong with that either. :)

I know we have went in October to SMORR or FlatNastys and it's really nice!

Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything for fear of being called a whiner, but July will be very hot, and the humidity down there will make things miserable.

I guess all we need is Yellowford and Burns to chime in as the only other two confirmed to go for this date. If all in favor of pushing the date back then lets talk when that would be.. I have no problem with either going in July or bumping back for cooler weather and more peeps or both I suppose. With my X currently in pieces it would give me the time to do a few more things I have planned anyway :smoke:

I actually prefer a later date but can still make no promises to my attendance. I will be in a new work and may have to play around it for a while.
