Does anyone know what driveshaft spacer I can use on the rear? With the amount of lift I have the slip yoke is not in as far as I would like. I doubt it will be problem but make feel a little better if it was in another inch.

I found one. Fabtech FTS92003 gives you a inch bump in length. I hope it fits found them installing it on F150 so it should.

Good find on the extension plate.

For the shifter hole I attached some sheet metal (old alum tag plate) to the underside to fill in where was cut too much, than used some self tappers and fender washers to attach a thick rubber floor mat to the trans tunnel to keep the air & water out. Also helps with the incredible amount of road noise that came thru the floor.

Sweet! I will see what I can come up with. I took all the boots off the F150 I got parts from so I might modify them to fit if I can.

Got the filters mounted. Sucks I have to remove battery every time but There really wasn't room anywhere else. Had to make a few adjustment to the battery tray. But worked out good.

I like that location:thumbsup:
You will have very clean battery terminals this way. :D

That is a good point. LOL:D

F150 inner boot works good. And looks nice enough for me. The rubber boot part is super thick so should be good to keep the noise down.

And having 2 wheel drive and 4 low is awesome. I had to hold brake cause the thing was trying to climb my driveway in 4 low. LOL Love it!!!

Great work on the project! Looks good! When you mod your transmission cross member post a pic if you had to make a new one or just cut and modify the existing one.

P.S. That's the same inner shifter boot I used on my 4406 Swap. And yes was a PITA for me as well had Dad there to help bench press the thing in there.

Thanks man. Closer I get to being ready for some action more excited I get. My oldest son (10 year old) is so excited keeps asking when we can go wheeling. LOL I cut the crossmember for now I still have to brace it some. I will post pics of it once I get the bracing in. Took it for little spin and I am getting some death wobble at 40 mph. I am sure the crap tires are not helping since they are low on air too. But I might have to beef up my axle track bar mount. I think I cut too much and weakened it enough to move. First time I hit 40 no death wobble this time it did so not sure. So I will be checking everything this week. I fix death wobble in Jeeps all the time. So this can't be too hard to solve.

And yes bench pressing that monster up there was not fun since I had to do like 6 times before I finally made enough room. But it is worth the effort.

I was right had the wife turn the steering while I watched. The everything frame side looked tight. Then I went down to axle side of track bar and it is moving like crazy. I guess some of crap I cut off was more important then I thought. LOL I just need this axle to last me until Summer so I can build 44. So I will have brace up this TB mount on the axle.

Man I love that front bumper, think might my brother might have to copy it for his Superduty LOL- Mounty is aweome also !!

Thanks! I can't wait to get it offroad. I was thinking about making one like that for my Duty too. The main tube looks like 2.5" and biggest die I can get for my JD2 is 2"... Hmmmmm

LOL Thanks man. Yeah used to live in Aurora couple years ago. Moved down here to Parker for work remodeling houses. Then my hobby started taking off and now I just do axles and Jeep work pretty much full time. I like Jeeps but much rather have a Ford to wheel. So I got a wild hair up my @ss and took the money I had been saving to build the Cherokee and bought this Merc. And as you can see I am not wasting anytime I am ready to wheel. My very first Jeep was 90 Wrangler didn't have it 5 mos and it was lifted with 35s, and I swapped a HO EFI 5.0 into it. I have issues I guess. :D
