I'm meeting you (I guess) with Chris but I have no clue where. I have never been down that way and as of right now I havnt even messed with directions or looked at my route. I suck at highway driving and following directions. Whatever spot you pick, make it something obvious, easy to get to and clear of all snipers.
Fuel filter for 98 SOHC: $6
Fuel filter release tool: $5
Another fuel filter release tool after you break the first one: $5
Two bloody fingers: free
Getting sprayed with an 1/8th tank of gas just so you can get rid of that annoying hiccup at idle: PRICELESS
I hate fuel filters...
No backing out now guys, Shirts are almost finished!
DAMN THOSE SNIPERS AND THIER BB GUNS!!! yes anyway.. um im not sure where on 81 we could meet, im guessing a rest area or something if there is any around. hopefully lizard will have an idea of where we can meet up.
Tsk, tsk, tsk....Didn't ya release the fuel pressure first??? I thought we went through that procedure last weekend??? Oh well, some people just don't learn
I coulda sworn you yanked the yellow #20 in the upper left corner of the under hood fuse box, Jeff (used the nifty little tweezers this time ) I yanked it out, ran the truck til it stalled, then pulled the first line out of the filter.....and promptly got 87 octane right in the eye and soaked myself with it all the way down to my right ankle Dunno where I went wrong, but I'll tell ya this: the gas going IN was a nice clear/slight yellow color, the gas coming OUT had the look and consistancy of coffee!
Shaun, it couldn't be easier to get to the Carlisle exit...Just go straight down 81, around Harrisburg, and stay on it til you get to the exit for Route 34. (Somebody refresh my memory, I can't recall what exit # it is offhand) Since you're getting there so late, give myself or Fug a call when you get there and we'll let you know if you can just hang the corner and meet us for dinner at Cracker Barrel or come down to the dragway, okay?
Thanks for the compliment Tom. I should be up there between 5 and 7 pm on Friday. It al depends on the DC traffic. I will give Lizard a call as soon as I get there.
HA! HA HA HA! *laughs maniacally* DC traffic on a Friday...any Marylander's worst nightmare come true! You gonna hit 695 West around Baltimore to 83 North, DiffWhack? If you go that way, I suggest hopping on the Pa turnpike (76) before you get to Harrisburg so you can save yourself some grief. The toll's only $1-2 I believe.
No, I'm taking the 495 to the 270 to the 70 to the 81N. I dealt with the traffic last weekend and it delayed us about an hour. Hopefully I can get out of here about the same time and miss the majority of it.
