Got back yesterday morning then went and helped rangerx get his truck going. tdavis and myself were the only ones that showed. Every one else missed out on some serious fun especally those with lockers and winches. I got to test my winch bumper I built and it didn't come off so I am pretty happy about that. My windshild managd to crack on me and I did't even hit it on anything. I was denied again by the center lane of Bronco hill and by the right of side of El Hill. Tom made it up both and made it look easy. I hopefully will have my pictures develeoped in the next few days and hopfully Tom can post his pics.

Yea, I did the second hardest line on Bronco hill, and El Hill. The tires was whooping big time on El Hill.

I've got pics, but currently no place to put them (my office moved, and I'm waiting for a new machine to show up.)

The winching up bobsled was interesting - Not a scratch on my truck, and poor matt.. Your supposed to let the winch do the work dude! :)

The ride home was interesting too. Had an old guy, in a jeep cherokee make a comment about 'Ford Tough', and wanted to look the truck over. I couldn't resist saying no! The truck also shined in the gas milage department: 18mpg, @ 65mph. Wow!

Oh, and tip-of-the-day:

The rear drive shaft isn't long enough when you have SOA 5.5 + 2" OME springs in the rear.

Mine came apart, after coming really close to doing a nose stand. Thanks Matt, that dropoff was really worse than it looked.

18 mpg not to bad for a sky high box in the air. Have you had a chance to get any of the pics from your camera yet. If you can upload them on the net could you maybe email me a few of them offroader3@juno.com I hope to get mine back tommorrow and will try to get them scanned and post a few of them :D trying to remember if I took a pic of the nose stand should look good.

watt happened?

Say, guys!

Let's here the story about RangerX!

Why was his truck stranded?

RangerX had his driverside wheelbearings and hub go bad on him the week before when he was on John Bull. It was just Tom and I out there for the weekend. Tom had to leave early sunday since he had to be back to work monday in Oakland. After tom left I went down to rangerX house to repair th wheel bearing problem. Got the driverside done and decided to repack the bearings on the pasanger side and the lock washer that goes between the two nuts had gotten up on the treads of the spindle and screwed them up. Instead of taking it all apart we left it and are going to fix it in the next week or so. That is about it. I can't wait to see all the pics. I think I got a few of tom tires in the air on a few hill climbs. We also got a few of his flex as well. That is one clean swap that he did. lookd very cool. The only part I don't really car for is the mount on the axle that holds the trackbar. This is a part that came on the axle as ford built it. I plan on doing the same conversion as tom and am sure i will have lots of questions for him.

Sorry Will, no good story!

Tom and Matt, those are some great pictures. Looks like you guys had a blast. I think I'd like to get out there at least one more time before it closes in October.
