And I'm still cutting even more of the rear quarter panels... here's a pic of the right side:
and after more cutting:
I'm doing this to wrap the rear bumper around... it's gonna be just like the front bumper - tube wrapped around... don't think I'm gonna put a spare on it... spare goes inside into the box...??? right? you'll see.
The left side has been fiberglassed... sanded, bondoed, sanded again... and it should be ready for paint within a week with my speed... just don't get enough time to play with this truck. I have been working on the winch today... winch fits, solenoid box doesn't... so I had to fab brackets to mount it somewhere... later,
As I mentioned before... some kind of pre-runner bumper out of a 1" or 1.5" tubing that would wrap around... possibly with hitch - no tire carrier. I will keep the spare inside in the box built for that purpose... but you never know. I'm pretty much done for now. Whenever I get more time and $$$ I might do some more work but for now I'm done. Still have a few honey do's to take care of...
2X4 steel rock sliders in place of rusted rockers... SOA... SAS... the list is getting longer every day
You've got to do a little switching around. Once you cut the wire at the emergency switch on the steering wheel you'll have to run one end of the wire (the one coming from the brake light switch) to the taillights. It's a light green wire. Back at the taillights you'll have to switch wires a bit. If you get the taillights get them with some wiring and bulb sockets so you can just splice it in inside the vehicle. Once you've got the taillights (95-97) then we can work on the wires since Ford have used different wire colors sometimes. Let me know then.
