Put on a cone filter, noticed instant smoother running and quicker time to increase the rpm's. This one is not a K&N, wanted to make sure it was not a big hooha to connect, when this one needs replacing then I wil install a K&N filter.

What did we do before zip strips? (baling wire, I know)

Also noticed that I lost a bit of turning radius with the MT's, so wil have to retrain on steering limits.
Got the stuff to start putting in the shifter boot, (Thanks for the boot Gregg!!)

Grandpa! It's suppose to be the dark blue wire to the brown wire with a yellow stripe! Didn't you have your glasses on!

EF, meet my Granddaughter, Temperance Anneliese.

Thanks Glen, I was finally able to see her for the first time this weekend, and for some reason people don't believe me when I say she looks like her grandpa and that's why she's so cute.
And of course being an EF'er I had to get a pic of her doing something with the rig. She wouldn't keep the Peterson 4x4 cap on or could hold the Haynes manuel.

...:shifty_ey She looks way to comfortable in the drivers seat....:D

For the first time? That's great, gotta be proud of her :D

Our family is so spread out around the country, it is hard to see each other often. Being a couple thousand miles away makes it kind of hard to see each other for every event that takes place, such as a child being born, wedding, Birthdays, etc...

Maybe one day we can have a off road meet with the whole Fam Damily Mike! :p:

Oh yea, she had grabbed the steering wheel first and pulled herself up, future Xplorer operator!!

Words can't described how proud I am. And she didn't cry the first time she saw me!:D

That's great Mike seeings how some little ones cry when they're close to someone they don't know.

beautiful granddaughter...congrats man

Thanks 21, and it didn't take her but a few seconds to get her grandpa wrapped around her little finger!

Finally got full use of my hand back, so back to doing work on the rig, the dual shifter boot is installed finally. Will post pics later, having trouble with the upload, I guess the telegraph wires are down or busy.
Now, to watch some NFL on the HOF game!!! Football is back!!!

The dual shifter sent me, don't know what to call the carpet on the "hump", Frank, Patches, or FrankenPatch, talk about rip and tear and super glue.

The air induction was "drooping" too much for my liking, was darn close to the alt drive pulley, fabbed a holding bracket.

HPIM1389.jpg

The weight of the cone filter was drooping too much also, so a fabbed support for that dude also.

Thanks Jon!
I never mentioned, but the blue tape under the light switchs state "A$$hole Passenger Eject" with the switch under it not being wired to anything but has two labels stating "push" and "drucken" (push in German) Was thinking of wiring it to a buzzer just for S&G's
Never could get a photo of it to come out readable

LOL! I will sit in the back then :D

I actually had you in mind when I decided to put that in there.

Just got back in from the rig, (it's 106 here now so I've been just going in and out to the rig,{the AZ and NM folks are saying "106, time to put the parka on})

GOT THE FRONT LOCKER WORKING!!!!!!!!!!
I don't know why, but the air outlet that was for the front just keep leaking air, rebuilt and rebult the harness, still having problems then said screw it and took the solnoid (sp) off and ran the air line to the other after putting the plug back into the compressor, had an air leak in the line, fixed that and load and behold, the front locker started kicking in, I can hear it working, 'bout freaking time. YeeHaw!!!!:D Just going with the front locker.

On the air locker issue, I have been under the idea that the air compressor itself is nothing more than a cylinder with a motor in it. How can one outlet leak from the solonoid release valve when a solonoid in installed? A new solonoid was installed also. I tested the ground on the compressor to make sure that was good, continuity check is good. (Yesterday it dawned on me that I had done the wiring harness but not the wiring on the compressor)
Could the air compressor be defective?

Just got back from a good road test on the rig. Yowzaa!!! Tried to get the rig to overheat by high rpms at slow speeds, nope, ran normal temp. (minor variance, but that had to be expected)
CEL does come on at times, on the highway and not durning stressing it trailing, but I noticed that if I kept the RPM's at least 3k it did not come on doing highway speeds. Still have to get a code reader and go from there. But the motor sounds strong and there is no unusal noise or anything.
When I first got the MT's mounted, what I thought was grabbing was actually the tires rubbing on the rear shock. (there are 2 on each side in front on the rig).
Saturday for my final prep, I am removing the rearmost shock on the front. This will give me about one more full turn of the steering wheel. I will have to grind off the lower mounting stud, but I think the results in turning will be worth it. The way it is now, Black Bear will be 3 or 4 point turns. There is not extra weight in the front to have 4 shocks. Even with the winch to be mounted.
Front locker, excellant!!
BTW, that area I got stuck in out there, I went threw it like crap thru a goose.
