I was out trail riding with my girl and noticed something new. When in 4x4 high or loe my front wheels bind, mostly when turning. Its almost as if theres power to the wheel... no power....power.....no power. Only once in a while did I notice this so should I be concerned? Btw my new Yoko AT+II did wonderful in the stickey, muddy trail. The lugs did fill in but still gripped great, a quick whrrrrrr of the tires with my 4.10's ;) and....no more mud. So comments on the binding please.

any grinding sounds when feeling no power?

Binding while turning in 4wd is normal...When turning, the outer wheels want to rotate faster than the inside wheels, but when you are in 4wd, the system wants to rotate the wheels at the same rate. This causes the binding and one wheel will slide or skip to release the binding, producing the popping sensation you feel. Since you just put on new tires, you may not have noticed it before if your old tires didn't grip well.

Now, if it's doing this in a straight line, there may be a problem....
