Yeah i was reading about that. This issue is really a good one for someone that is undecided on what axle they'd like to run. They've got some good info in there.

Cory is hoping to get started on my truck tomorrow, if all goes well he should be done in around 2-3 weeks since he has school and stuff, but i'm not worried about that, he can work on it for as long as he wants.

Happy trails!!

Or you gotta come to the north! HAHA. I want to make it to Tellico this year so maybe that would be a good middle ground.

Actually my class schedule this semester prevents me from working on Mondays. Tueday is always the first day of the workweek.

I'll be starting his front winch bumper on Tuesday and the SAS later in the week.

I knew that:D

I know i am the most excited!! I really love getting out off roading, even if it's nothing major, i love the out doors. So, this is something big for me. Now my wife on the other hand, loves the outdoors too, but can't understand why i would want to spend this kind of money, but i told her it was worth it, trust me;)

I would love to come down south sometime. And out west/north. I'm hoping to make it tellico this summer and attica in april, maybe. But i'll most definantly be at tellico.

Cory, can you send me some kind of a photo so i can see what the bumper looks like. I might want to add something to it or something like that. Thanks.

Dave, have you started on yours yet? I knew you were going to finish your garage first, any luck with that yet?

Just painted the garage this past weekend, taking this weekend to put it all away and organize stuff. May get started tearing apart the axle, if Work slows down a bit I might get over to get my gears then I can get that axle all cleaned up and back together soon. The weekend of the 15/16 I will pull my X in the garage and dissasemble her. Then a bit of work on the following weeknights then off to Texas for a mini vacation for a few days. So no work that weekend. Hope to have it finished mid April. Gonna try to sit down with my parts list tonight and start getting things ordered.

Here are the first pics.

Just the removal of everything.

dang.. those jackstands must have cost a ton? i got some like that and had to special order them! :D
j/k. i thouht i was the only one who used big blocks of wood.

i'm anxious to see the bumper too

how long does it take to rip all that crap out? could i get it done on a friday afternoon?

Thanks for posting the pics Cory, now i can say it is offically under way!!

Jeff, cory and i worked for about 2 hours on the bolt on stuff, everything except for the lower control arms. It was easier for us because he had done it before and knew what to do. It might take you the better part of the day, but if you have help and some extra tools then you can knock it out. Might want to start the penetrating fluid now!

is the front bumper built yet? i thought i read that it was going to be done first. i just really want to see that!

Not yet. I changed my mind because I need to draw the brackets I want up in CAD and send them to my machine shop. The bumper will be pretty *****in though!

Brackets get drawn tonight probably and then emailed out. As soon as I get a price on them and get them here and the bumper made, I'll post pics.

hell yeah! sounds good cory..

Ohhh, gotta love being married! My wife found out that i was having a front bumper being built and she about killed!! Ouch, this is starting to hurt! I told her it was necessary for the project (not sure she bought that one)

Anyways. You going to start working on it tomorrow Cory? Did you get the cross members cut out saturday?

Damn that sucks Josh, what happened did you 'slip' and mention it?

I can't wait to see what it looks like, i'm in desperate need of a new bumper

Well i thought i had mentioned it to her before, but i guess not. Then when i got home friday night i was telling her what Cory and I had done earlier and then she saw my factory bumper in the back of my truck and my brush guard, then she started to ask questions! Oh well, i love her anyways! Lets just hope she doesn't find out about the winch i may/may not be getting;)

well josh.. you can just send it to me then..
i wouldn't want you to get on bad issue with your boss.. err i mean wife.

:D :D
