don't worry josh.. the same happens with me.

example.. i mentioned for over a year that i was going to lift my explorer and put bigger tires on and she never said anything other than the normal "i don't care" kind of comments. well.. she bought her new car and i lifted and new tires the next week. then she got mad saying i didn't tell her about it first! then admitted that she just didn't think i was actually ever going to do it.
so see... your not the only one! :D

let's just hope she doesn't find out about the spacers i bought from gerald!

Yeah, i've did the same thing. Tell her things a million times and she just pushes them aside until i do it and she gets mad. Must be a woman thing!

I talked to Cory yesterday to get an update. He is left for wedding last night and will be gone for a few days. But spring break is next week and he will have the solid week to consentrate on mine. So, he said if everything goes smoothly, no problems then it is possible that it could be done by next weekend. So, we'll see. Just thought i'd update this a little bit. He said he got all my joints in and some new tubing. He now has all the parts, just has to start the labor.

cool..
can't wait to see it get put together!

Just had to post here so I could get the updates as they come in...

:D

I can't wait to see the finished monster...

Hopefully Cory will be able to piece together a kit and sell it to geographically fabrication challenged people! :)

I would personally like to thank all you guys who've submitted your ladies for genetic re-engineering! :D :D

haha. I guess that's one way of putting it!

I'm excited to see the product myself. I've got several runs i want to make this summer, so i want to have plenty of time to break it in.

If Cory can get a quick answer on a front driveshaft then he can get started. The starting point, or so it seems for a Coil suspension if the drive shaft. The reason being is the tranny cross member. It seems to be in the way, or just in the perfect spot. We're hoping that since my tcase has the flange style end that when i get a new adapter made the it will stick out far enought that i will clear the cross member. But if he can get some questions answered tonight then he can get started tomorrow with the links and hopefully get a shot of it under the truck. But who knows.

Looks like I am going to have to build a bridge/hoop for the tranny crossmember like I did on Robb's. No big deal.

Got a lot done today.

Brackets are built and mounted.

Lower links are built. Lower links are 1.5" x 0.120 wall tube with a sleeve of 1.75" x 0.120 wall tube over it with my threaded inserts and 1.25" heim joints. Eye to eye I think it was around 28.25".

Going to get them fully mounted tomorrow and get the upper arms built.

Ahhhh....finally. I was going crazy over here!

How is it looking for the coil springs being like this || instead of like this \ / on the axle?

I stopped by the driveshaft shop and guy didn't know what my driveshaft looked like so i'll have to just show him.

What did you find out about a driveshaft?

Hey Cory that plate in the first picture on under the door on the frame, is that bolt on?

I know we had talked about making as much as possible bolt, but wasn't sure what you had come up with yet.

Lookin Good Cory

All of you 2nd gens having problems with the tranny crossmember interfering with the front driveshaft just need to get an Atlas. . .my yoke is almost 3" further forward, right above the crossmember :p

If you buy it, i'll get it! :p

i have actually thought about the atlass that you have, and CoryL is an authorized Atlas dealer, but for some reason i don't think my explorer is 'Atlas ready'

I know i'm running upwards of 5" of lift and 33's, but more and more each day, my explorer is looking stock height to me , i don't know what it is

Hmmm...an Authorized Atlas Dealer!!

Then I don't even have to use a brain cell to buy one...

Cory- on a 2001 XLT, how much is the Atlas T-Case? Are there different models?

Mine is an AWD (just for the moment), and are you going to sell a bolt-on kit for the Coil SAS?

You suck Jefe!! I would love to have an Atlas II, but not at the time. Those things go for about 2K. So maybe some time down the road. For the kind of wheelin i do my stock case will be just fine...knock on wood!

I only wish I didn't have an AWD transfer case!!!

It'd make my life sooooo much easier!

Unless I can use the AWD transfer case and selectable lockers front/rear...then I'll put off changing the transfer case!

Switch out transfer cases like Stax2 did (i think that's his name) Not sure what it would cost, but could be worth it.

And it was the best 3K (including driveshafts and shipping) I've put into my truck. I have a feeling that will change with the SAS though. ;)

I don't have anything in my Advance Adapters literature about an application for a 2001, but I'm pretty sure the pattern and everything is the same as the older ones. I will call on Monday to make sure.

There are a few options...

3.0, 3.8, and 4.3:1 low range options. Optional (add more) 32 spline outputs.

The 3.0 and 3.8 are the same price, but the 4.3 is more expensive.

I'll call Monday and get everything setup...shoot me an email (CoryL@CRLCustoms.com) and I can talk pricing with you.

I will be offering coil SAS brackets in the near future. There is stuff that WILL require welding in and SAS, so nothing is truly all bolt-on.

he he What'd you do, just hack up a stock upper link? That doesn't look nearly as pretty as those lower links.
