Are those your limiting straps I see on your tire???

Yep, those along with the shocks and brake lines should have been installed yesterday. The bumper should be back today from getting powdercoated, and once he gets that on, he's done!! Got the trailer last night and got the lights fixed on it, my friend and i are heading down after work tomorrow evening to get her! I can't wait to drive it again! It's been 3 months, but it doesn't seem that long.

So, what was/is the final price on all this... I mean everything. You don't have to list everything if you don't want, just curious how much it all cost.

I was wondering the same thing.

Some good news and bad news.

Good news. Brakelines are on.
Bad news. Shocks are not.

After dropping the bumper off at my friends 4wd shop (next to the powdercoating place), I forgot to close my tailgate and lost my welding gas cylinder (complete dumbass attack). I hunted and searched, but nothing. So I have to buy a new one this afternoon.

Good news. I will be able to add the light tabs to the bumper.
Bad news. The guy that does the powdercoating is off for two weeks, so it wouldn't be done until he gets back.

Pricing will be as follows, shipping and handling will be about the same as my rear bumpers ($25-$45 depending on location).

I will let everyone know when I am ready for production on them.

Basic Front bumper with two light tabs = $350

I don't know the pricing yet for the winch mount plate, clevis blocks, etc., as I need to draw up the stuff and find out what it is going to cost me to make.

Clevis blocks will be an additional $30-$35 each to be welded on.

I would predict that a front bumper with the bolt on winch plate (so you can add it at any time) will be around $450.

An aluminum or steel diamond plate skidplate will be available based on the cost of plate at the time. I haven't yet priced it though.

As for the SAS parts...

The basic front end conversion for a TJ style D30, including:

Upper and lower control arms.
Lower control arm brackets.
All heim joints.
Track bar.
Track bar bracket and tabs.
Coil springs
Adjustable coil buckets with shock mounts.

Not included in the kit:

Steering box.
Steering shaft.
Shocks.
Brakelines.
Driveshaft.
Rear lift.

Kit total will be $1500. If you purchase my steering links with the kit the total price will be $1750.

If you drop the truck off to me to install it, the total price will be $3500 and will include EVERYTHING. It will take appx. two weeks to do the conversion.

While this kit is bolt on for the most part, it will require cutting out the stock brackety, drilling, and welding. it is not a totally bolt on kit as it would be impossible to do.

Shocks and brakelines are not included because people may want to run different amounts of lift with the coil buckets and will require different length shocks.

This will be ready for production in a few weeks.

Thanks for the info Cory. Let me know when you're going to be ready to make more bumpers. I'll give you a call then to work out the details and figuring out shipping, etc. Here is what I'd like:

Bumper with two clevis mounts. Four light tabs. Steel skid plate. Winch mount. Powder coating not necessary.

I'd definitely like to get the SAS kit as well. What about some coilovers, would the kit be able to use these as well, or would that entail more fabrication? I've always wanted to get some King coilovers. :D

Coilovers would require another vehicle as a guinea pig. It would require making some shock hoops based on the coilover length. The overall cost would be slightly higher to take the cost of the coilovers into account.

Well, if I can ever get over to Louisville (and leave my X there for a while), you can use mine. Otherwise I'll have to wait until someone else does it...

Does the guinea pig get a little discount???:)

Finally it is home! My buddy and i made a 10 hour round trip. It rained something fierce a big part of the trip. But we made it. The truck is HUGE! I've got a full day of work ahead of me to get her on the road. I'm going to take a million pictures so i'll post later!

Hmm... looking good Josh. I think your bumper is pretty cool too. It looks a lot like the one my brother built for his 4 runner.

Yeah it does look similar.

Bumper is done. I LOVE IT. I spent most of the day today fitting some diamond plate to it. The skip plate part is recessed back 3/8" to make it a flush mount. I used 4 3/8"x1" stainless steel bolts to bolt it on. Still have to get the lower 2 bolts in.

How about some pics of the truck beside another X for comparison...that would give us an idea of how huge it is.

The bumper looks great. Have you gone wheeling yet?

Bracket i made and welded on for the top piece of diamond plate.

Forgot to mention...the bumper looks just plain bad ass also.

Thanks guys. I haven't gone wheeling yet cause i've been working on the brakes. I spent all day saturday redoing all the front brakes. Cory's flaring job on the front didn't hold up so i just ran all new line and had to buy 1 new caliper. My front driveshaft didn't come in friday like it was suppose to, and i haven't reinstalled my locker in the rear yet, i'll get it this week. I'll probably head out this weekend for a quick run.

To tell you how big it is, i'm 5'11" and i can stand beside it and just can break my wrist over to tough the top of my roof. But i can't touch the roof rack rail!!

Here is another awesome look picture of the bumper.

looks great but I hope you don't mount the winch to that diamond plate.

I did get to drive it a bunch today. It will definantly take some getting use to. It wants to walk on me and it sways a good bit. I really need a dual shock set up. But other then that it's great. The coils rub on the buckets and it sounds like something is loose up front, but it doesn't squeal like bad brakes do or anything like that. I've got some flex shots that are bad a$$ that i took today, but i'll have to get them off the camera at work cause it's my bosses and i don't have the hook up for it here.
