I thought 94 was the last year for the 5.0

I havent really beaten anybody yet, 5.0 stang blew my doors a couple of weeks ago.(what was i thinking?) I got this 4 door honda rilled up the other day, I think it was an accord. I was in front of him in slow lane, and i just took off. I guess he thought "who in the hell does he think he is??" lol.

Nope it was 95. Because then in 96 Ford started to offer the 5.0 in the Explorers. I think maybe they did that because they didnt feel like designing an engine for the explorer that was more powerful or reliable than what the 5.0 could offer. Plus also they probably had alot of extra parts and already had the history of the engine. So ever since then it seems that the explorer has been about 6 years or so behind the mustang GT's. Hence the 4.6 swap here as of last year for the new explorers.

Audi TTs can be turbo or not turboed IIRC, and the non-turbos are dogs. Even so, you would probably need an SOHC or 5.0 to beat it. An OHV couldn't take it unless it was a 0-10 race or something.

More killsalthough this is with my dads 2000 SOHC) oh yea i now no longer have an explorer... the tranny died 2 weeks ago and wasnt worth fixing. stupid mazda 5 spds.

newer dodge avenger 5Spd... some mods
some subaru. it had a turbo and stuff but wasnt a WRX, it almost beat me, prolly would have if we were from a dead stop. friends 1989 dodge caravan 5spd, sad race. there were some others but i dont remember them at the moment.
killed by: my moms 97 grand prix, friends 85 Stang, 5.0 tons of mods... aboout 400RWHP, its uber crazy. Thats about it for now. lata, Steve

It was an S2000.

Yes, I know there's quite a difference between a TT and an S2000, but I was still proud

S2000 0-60: 6.17s
Audi TT, 180 bhp: 6.70s
Audi TT, Quattro, 225 bhp: 6.40s
Audi TT Roadster, Quattro, 225 bhp: 6.74s

well i cant describe how she does it but i have a 92 sport with a 5 spd with 3:27 gears and 31's. the only engine mods that i know of are the cold air intake, and flowmaster exhaust. The thing is a freak and will actually scoot pretty fast

97 v6 s10 (close)
99 4runner
00 frontier with 5spd v6(close)
some jackleg in a riced up honda
some jackleg in a riced up toyota
94 maxima
everytime i pull away they are waved at by my huge wip antenea

Ha, I love racing (??racing??) things that I know will absolutely destroy me, like Lightnings, Porsches, BMWs, etc, just to see a) how fast they are b) how slow I am in comparison c) and to be able to say "i got ripped by a Cobra today" is fun.

I was riding with a buddy in his Integra awhile ago (he had just an intake at the time) and a Lightning pulls up next to us, we were probably crusing along at about 35 or 40. We rev the engine hoping to see him destroy us, and sure enough.... He didnt even look over at us (maybe just a "losers" glance) and he was absolutely gone . It was truly an amazing experience

Here in a little bit i want to race a lightning. But i want to do it to see if i can actually win. The new ones got what 380 horsepower right? I wonder how much they really got at the wheels. whether or not it was under-rated. But they still got to weigh a decent deal more than i do. We will see. that is my first goal is to beat a lightning. then i will go for some of the older cobra's. Or maybe the other way around being that those new lightnings are pretttty fast.

I will eventually. But it will take a littlemore time. and alot more money. But i am willing to accept those consequences. I am very serious about accomplishing this goal though.

Uh....awhile back i was beat by a lil 2-door saturn. Quite emabrassing. But oh yea, i did the fly by . XKid knows about it. And harassed me for weeks too!
